30 вересня, у Міжнародний день ортодонта, у ПДМУ відбулося засідання студентської наукової групи кафедри ортодонтії. Зустріч стала нагодою не лише обговорити організаційні питання, а й підбити підсумки наукової роботи студентів та визначити плани на новий навчальний рік.
Під час засідання старостою наукової групи обрали студентку 1 курсу 8 групи Марію Северин, а її заступницею – студентку 2 курсу 2 групи Юлію Мудрагелю. Також затвердили план роботи на новий навчальний рік та оновлений склад членів студентської наукової групи.
Окрему увагу приділили участі студентів у науково-практичній конференції молодих ортодонтів «NEXT GENERATION ORTHO», яка відбулася 26 вересня 2026 року в Києві. ПДМУ на конференції представив студент 4-го курсу стоматологічного факультету Роман Паліївець із доповіддю «Оцінка інтеграції ортодонтичних імплантів за допомогою AnyCheck». Його науковий керівник – доктор медичних наук, професор кафедри ортодонтії ПДМУ Марина Дмитренко.
До наукової роботи студентів закликала завідувачка кафедри ортодонтії ПДМУ, доктор медичних наук, професор, президент Асоціації ортодонтів України та голова наукового комітету конференції Любов Смаглюк. Вона наголосила на важливості залучення молоді до наукових досліджень і запросила всіх охочих долучатися до роботи студентської наукової групи.
«Ортодонтія – це сила і гордість стоматології»,– підкреслила Любов Смаглюк.

Orthodontics – the Strength and Pride of Dentistry: PSMU Marks International Orthodontist’s Day with a Student Research Group Meeting
On September 30, International Orthodontist’s Day, Poltava State Medical University hosted a meeting of the Student Research Group of the Department of Orthodontics. The meeting provided an opportunity not only to discuss organizational matters but also to review the students’ research activities and outline plans for the new academic year.
During the meeting, first-year student Mariia Severyn from Group 8 was elected Head of the Student Research Group, while second-year student Yuliia Mudrahelia from Group 2 was elected her Deputy. The participants also approved the work plan for the new academic year and updated the membership of the Student Research Group.
Particular attention was paid to the students’ participation in the scientific and practical conference of young orthodontists, “NEXT GENERATION ORTHO,” held in Kyiv on September 26, 2026. PSMU was represented at the conference by Roman Paliiivets, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Dentistry, who presented a report entitled “Assessment of Orthodontic Implant Integration Using AnyCheck.” His research supervisor was Maryna Dmytrenko, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor at the PSMU Department of Orthodontics.
Liubov Smagliuk, Head of the PSMU Department of Orthodontics, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, President of the Association of Orthodontists of Ukraine, and Chair of the conference’s Scientific Committee, encouraged students to engage in research. She emphasized the importance of involving young people in scientific studies and invited everyone interested to join the Student Research Group.
“Orthodontics is the strength and pride of dentistry,” Liubov Smagliuk emphasized.
