На кафедрі внутрішніх хвороб та медицини невідкладних станів ПДМУ відбулася зустріч інтернів із колективом кафедри. Початок освітнього циклу в інтернатурі – це не лише продовження здобуття фахових знань і практичних навичок, а й важливий етап професійного становлення майбутнього лікаря та формування його як відповідального громадянина і представника медичної професії.
Важливою частиною зустрічі став урок пам’яті «Пам’ятаємо, шануємо, продовжуємо: медики та працівники університету – захисники України». Під час заходу учасники згадали медичних працівників та працівників університету, які стали на захист України й віддали найдорожче – своє життя. Їхній подвиг є прикладом мужності, самовідданості, патріотизму та відповідальності перед державою і суспільством. Присутні вшанували пам’ять загиблих хвилиною мовчання. Пам’ятаючи тих, хто захищав Україну, сучасні медики продовжують їхню справу – сумлінно виконувати свій професійний обов’язок, берегти життя і здоров’я людей та працювати задля майбутнього України.
Доцент ЗВО Ніна Соколюк, відповідальна за виховну роботу на кафедрі, провела виховну годину, під час якої наголосила на важливості дотримання морально-етичних норм, культури спілкування та професійної поведінки майбутніх лікарів. Окрему увагу було приділено вимогам дрескоду під час освітнього процесу на кафедрі та роботи в лікувальних установах, адже охайний та відповідний професійним вимогам зовнішній вигляд є важливою складовою професійного іміджу медика та виявом поваги до пацієнтів і колег.
Завідувач кафедри, професор Максим Потяженко, привітав інтернів із початком циклу навчання та побажав їм успіхів, наполегливості, професійного розвитку й упевненості у власних силах. Також було проведено необхідний інструктаж з техніки безпеки, дотримання якої є запорукою безпечної роботи в навчальному середовищі та лікувальних закладах.
Зустріч стала нагодою не лише окреслити організаційні засади навчання, а й нагадати, що професія лікаря ґрунтується на гуманності, відповідальності, честі та служінні людям.

Remembering and Professional Responsibility: PSMU Holds a Memorial Lesson for Interns
The Department of Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) held a meeting between its teaching staff and medical interns. Beginning a new educational cycle in internship training is not only a continuation of acquiring professional knowledge and practical skills but also an important stage in the professional development of future doctors and in shaping them as responsible citizens and members of the medical profession.
An important part of the meeting was the memorial lesson “We Remember. We Honor. We Carry On: Healthcare Professionals and University Staff – Defenders of Ukraine.” During the event, participants remembered healthcare professionals and university staff who took up the defense of Ukraine and made the ultimate sacrifice—their lives. Their courage and sacrifice serve as an example of bravery, dedication, patriotism, and responsibility to the state and society. The participants honored the memory of those who lost their lives with a minute of silence.
By remembering those who defended Ukraine, today’s healthcare professionals continue their legacy by conscientiously fulfilling their professional duties, protecting people’s lives and health, and working for the future of Ukraine.
Associate Professor Nina Sokoliuk, who is responsible for educational and mentoring activities at the Department, conducted a session focusing on professional values. She emphasized the importance of observing moral and ethical standards, maintaining a culture of communication, and demonstrating appropriate professional conduct as future doctors. Particular attention was paid to dress code requirements during educational activities at the Department and while working in healthcare institutions. A neat and professionally appropriate appearance is an important part of a healthcare professional’s image and demonstrates respect for patients and colleagues.
The Head of the Department, Professor Maksym Potiazhenko, welcomed the interns at the beginning of their training cycle and wished them success, perseverance, professional growth, and confidence in their abilities. The interns also received the required occupational health and safety briefing, as compliance with safety requirements is essential for maintaining a safe environment both in educational settings and healthcare institutions.
The meeting provided an opportunity not only to outline the organisational aspects of the training program but also to remind everyone that the medical profession is founded on humanity, responsibility, honor and service to others.
