1 вересня 2026 року на кафедрі шкірних та венеричних хвороб Полтавського державного медичного університету провели Загальнонаціональний урок пам’яті «Пам’ятаємо. Шануємо. Продовжуємо: медики та працівники університету – Захисники України».
Захід об’єднав студентів і викладачів кафедри задля вшанування пам’яті колег, які віддали своє життя, захищаючи Україну. Присутні хвилиною мовчання вшанували полеглих Захисників, чиї долі пов’язані з університетською спільнотою.
Головною метою заходу було виховання національної свідомості майбутніх медиків на прикладах самовідданості випускників та працівників ПДМУ, які загинули, захищаючи Україну.
Пам’ять про них – це не лише згадка про минуле. Це усвідомлення ціни свободи, відповідальності за майбутнє держави та важливості професійних і людських цінностей, які мають стати основою діяльності кожного медика.

Remembering Those Who Shaped Our Future: A Nationwide Memorial Lesson Held at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology
On 1 September 2026, the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) held a Nationwide Memorial Lesson, “We Remember. We Honor. We Carry On: Healthcare Professionals and University Staff – Defenders of Ukraine.”
The event brought together students and academic staff to honor the memory of colleagues who gave their lives defending Ukraine. The participants observed a minute of silence in tribute to the fallen Defenders whose lives were connected with the university community.
The main purpose of the event was to foster a strong sense of national identity among future healthcare professionals by highlighting the courage and self-sacrifice of PSMU graduates and staff members who lost their lives defending Ukraine.
Remembering them is not simply about looking back at the past. It is about recognizing the price of freedom, our responsibility for the future of the country, and the importance of the professional and human values that should guide every healthcare professional in their work.
