15 травня 2026 р. у м. Києві на базі Mercure Kyiv Congress Hall відбулась міжнародна науково-практична конференція «Liver Onco 2026 – виклики на перехресті спеціальностей», яка поєднала практичний досвiд, мiждисциплiнарне мислення та сучаснi стандарти доказової медицини.
Конференцію організовано Національним науковим центром хірургії та трансплантології імені О. О. Шалімова НАМН України.
Метою заходу було створення інтегрованого навчального простору, де представники різних спеціальностей – хірурги, онкологи, гастроентерологи, інтервенційні радіологи, патологи та генетики – спільно обговорювали та відпрацьовували сучасні клінічні підходи до лікування злоякісних пухлин печінки.
Формат майстер-класiв i клiнiчних розборiв забезпечив можливiсть безпосередньо ознайомитися лікарям з технiками хiрургiчних втручань, iнтервенцiйних процедур i принципами системної терапiї, а також на практицi продемонструвати командний пiдхiд до ведення онкологічного пацiєнта.
Професор Ігор Скрипник – проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи та післядипломної освіти ПДМУ, професор кафедри внутрішньої медицини №1, президент Української гастроентерологічної асоціації – виступив модератором пленарного засідання «Супутня, підтримуюча терапія та follow-up» та представив доповідь, присвячену стратифікації ризиків, діагностиці та лікуванню медикаментозно-індукованих уражень печінки.
У доповіді було представлено сучасні європейські та міжнародні рекомендації з цієї проблеми, а також результати багаторічних досліджень кафедри внутрішньої медицини №1 щодо медикаментозної токсичності.
У рамках конференції було представлено досвід провідних українських та міжнародних експертів з Хорватії, Латвії, Іспанії, Португалії, США, Великої Британії, Італії, Франції, який дозволив зіставити підходи до діагностики, оцінки функціонального стану печінки та вибору подальшої тактики лікування.
Саме практичне глибоке занурення в клiнiчнi ситуацiї та обмiн досвiдом мiж спецiалiстами різних фахів є найефективнiшим шляхом до пiдвищення професiйної майстерностi.

PSMU on the International Scientific Stage: Participation in the Conference “Liver Onco 2026 – Challenges at the Crossroads of Specialties”
On May 15, 2026, the international scientific and practical conference “Liver Onco 2026 – Challenges at the Crossroads of Specialties” was held in Kyiv at the Mercure Kyiv Congress Hall. The event combined practical experience, interdisciplinary thinking, and modern standards of evidence-based medicine.
The conference was organized by the O. O. Shalimov National Scientific Center of Surgery and Transplantology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
The purpose of the event was to create an integrated educational space where specialists from various fields — surgeons, oncologists, gastroenterologists, interventional radiologists, pathologists, and geneticists — could jointly discuss and develop modern clinical approaches to the treatment of malignant liver tumors.
The format of master classes and clinical case discussions provided physicians with the opportunity to directly familiarize themselves with surgical techniques, interventional procedures, and principles of systemic therapy, while also demonstrating a team-based approach to the management of oncology patients in practice.
Professor Ihor Skrypnyk — Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education at Poltava State Medical University, Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1, and President of the Ukrainian Gastroenterological Association — moderated the plenary session “Concomitant, Supportive Therapy and Follow-up” and delivered a presentation devoted to risk stratification, diagnosis, and treatment of drug-induced liver injury.
The presentation highlighted current European and international recommendations on this issue, as well as the results of many years of research conducted by the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 regarding drug toxicity.
The conference also featured the experience of leading Ukrainian and international experts from Croatia, Latvia, Spain, Portugal, United States, United Kingdom, Italy, and France, enabling participants to compare approaches to diagnosis, assessment of liver functional status, and the selection of further treatment strategies.
Deep practical immersion in clinical situations and the exchange of experience among specialists from different disciplines remain the most effective path toward enhancing professional expertise and improving the quality of patient care.
