Назва «Полтавський державний медичний університет» урочисто пролунала нещодавно на 159-ій щорічній cecії Асоціації стоматологів Огайо (ODA). Вона відбулася  у Коламбусі, США, 25-27 вересня ц. р. На ній випускник минулих років Університету (на той час ПМСІ), лікар-стоматолог Сергій Радлінський отримав престижну нагороду Callahan Memorial Award від Стоматологічної асоціації Огайо (ODA).

Фінансова частина Премії, яка була подвоєна самим лауреатом, склала бюджет гуманітарної програми «Free Teeth», учасниками якої протягом двох років стали 75 школярів з Полтави. Про виконання цієї фактично спільної американсько-української програми Сергій Радлінський доповів делегатам Асоціації стоматологів Огайо (The House of Delegates), а в інавгураційній промові адресував цю високу нагороду всім українським стоматологам, які надають лікарську допомогу людям в Україні та на окупованих територіях і лінії фронту.

З престижною нагородою Сергій Радлінський прибув у свою рідну Альма Матер, де за нього, як свого випускника і колегу, щиро вболівали та з нетерпінням чекали підбиття підсумків Сесії. Ректор ЗВО ПДМУ Вячеслав Ждан від імені адміністрації, університетської спільноти і себе особисто привітав Лауреата з престижною нагородою та побажав нових блискучих наукових здобутків у вітчизняній стоматології.

Шановні колеги, шановні друзі!

Для мене велика честь і привілей отримати престижну Премію Памяті легендарного стоматолога Доктора Джона Росса Каллагана! Емоції переповнюють мене!

Дякую за довіру комісії Премії на чолі з Доктором Джозефом Мелліоном,

Я адресую цю престижну нагороду всім українським стоматологам, які виконують свій професійний обовязок, допомагають людям на різних територіях України, вільних, окупованих, фронтових, в умовах, створених війною!

Хочу подякувати Сюзанне Брукс, Мишель Блекман і Джекі Бест Кроу, які допомогли мені підготуватись до візиту до Коламбуса, завдяки якому я мав можливість зустріти тут багато визначних стоматологів, не зважаючи на мою англійську, вибачте! 

Наша гуманітарна програма Вільні зуби фактично стала спільною програмою для Огайо Дентал Асоціації і мене персонально, яка реалізується в Аполлонії стоматологічна клініка з іменем Доктора Джона Росса Каллахана і під парасолькою Міжнародного коледжу стоматологів. Я дякую персоналу клініки і моїй сімї, які з ентузіазмом підтримали цю Програму, і активно працюють над її реалізацією!

Програма Вільні зуби не може бути зупинена, тому що російська агресія проти України продовжується... Ми теж хочемо бути вільними, однією нацією в одній країні!

Я прошу, я запрошую не зупинятись у підтримці Програми Вільні зуби, обіцяючи подвоєння всіх донатів зі своєї сторони! Разом ми можемо зробити більше!

В пам'ять про ці незабутні і емоційні дні, проведені разом, я хочу в особі Доктора Джозефа Мелліона передати Огайо Дентал Асоціації портрет Доктора Джона Росса Каллахана з Лого ОДА, виконаний вручну українськими майстрами гобеленів в майстерні Соломія.

Асоціація стоматологів Огайо запровадила у 1920 році щорічну премію для вшанування Доктора Джона Росса Каллагана, свого знаменитого лікаря і дослідника,  новатора і гуманіста. PSMU Among the Most Distinguished Universities in the International Educational Arena: Another Recognition Through Its Alumni

The name Poltava State Medical University was recently honored at the 159th Annual Session of the Ohio Dental Association (ODA), held in Columbus, USA, on September 25–27, 2025. During the event, Dr. Serhii Radlinskyi, a graduate of the University (former name Poltava Medical Stomatological Institute), received the prestigious Callahan Memorial Award from the Ohio Dental Association.

The financial part of the award, which the laureate personally doubled, became the funding base for the humanitarian program “Free Teeth.” Over the past two years, this initiative has provided free dental care to 75 schoolchildren from Poltava. Dr. Radlinskyi reported on the outcomes of this joint American-Ukrainian project to the ODA House of Delegates and, in his inaugural speech, dedicated the award to all Ukrainian dentists who continue providing medical care to people across Ukraine — in free, occupied, and frontline territories.

Following the ceremony, Dr. Radlinskyi visited his alma mater, where faculty and students had been eagerly following the session’s results. Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, on behalf of the administration, academic community, and personally, congratulated the laureate on receiving this prestigious award and wished him continued success and remarkable scientific achievements in Ukrainian dentistry.

Dear Mr. President of the Ohio Dental Association!

Dear Chairman of the Callahan Memorial Award Committee!

Dear colleagues, dear friends!

It is a great honor and privilege for me to receive the prestigious Callahan Memorial Award, named after the legendary dentist Dr. John Ross Callahan! I am overwhelmed with emotion.

I thank the Award Committee, chaired by Dr. Joseph Mellion, for their trust, and my sponsor Dr. Joseph Kenneally for the nomination.

I dedicate this prestigious award to all Ukrainian dentists who fulfill their professional duty and provide care to people across Ukraine — in free territories, occupied areas, and at the frontlines — under the harsh conditions of war.

I wish to express my gratitude to Suzanne Brooks, Michelle Blackman, and Jackie Best Crow, who helped me prepare for this visit to Columbus, where I had the opportunity to meet many distinguished dentists — despite my English, please forgive me!

Our humanitarian initiative “Free Teeth” has effectively become a joint program of the Ohio Dental Association and myself, implemented through the Apollonia Dental Clinic, named after Dr. John Ross Callahan and under the umbrella of the International College of Dentists. I thank the clinic’s staff and my family, who have enthusiastically supported this program and actively contributed to its realization!

The “Free Teeth” program cannot be stopped, because Russian aggression against Ukraine continues… We also want to be free — one nation in one country!

I ask and invite everyone not to stop supporting the “Free Teeth” Program, and I pledge to match all donations made in support of it. Together, we can do even more!
