24 квітня 2026 року на базі Полтавського державного медичного університету відбулася Всеукраїнська науково-практична конференція з міжнародною участю «Полтавські офтальмологічні зустрічі – 2026» на тему «Актуальні питання лікування та діагностики офтальмологічних захворювань», присвячена 105-річчю ПДМУ.
Захід об’єднав провідних офтальмологів, науковців, викладачів і молодих фахівців з різних регіонів України. Учасники обговорили сучасні підходи до діагностики та лікування захворювань органів зору, а також актуальні питання впровадження інноваційних технологій у клінічну практику.
У межах конференції було представлено доповіді, присвячені лікуванню глаукоми, катаракти, вікової макулярної дегенерації та патологій дитячого віку. Окрему увагу приділено сучасним методам офтальмохірургії та використанню високотехнологічного обладнання.
Участь у заході дала змогу молодим науковцям і лікарям представити результати власних досліджень та обговорити їх із провідними фахівцями галузі.
Організатори відзначили високий науковий рівень доповідей і підкреслили значення конференції як професійного майданчика для обміну досвідом та розвитку офтальмологічної науки в Україні.

“Poltava Ophthalmological Meetings – 2026” at PSMU
On April 24, 2026, the Poltava State Medical University hosted the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference with international participation “Poltava Ophthalmological Meetings – 2026” on the topic “Current Issues in the Treatment and Diagnosis of Ophthalmic Diseases,” dedicated to the 105th anniversary of PSMU.
The event brought together leading ophthalmologists, researchers, educators, and young professionals from various regions of Ukraine. Participants discussed modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, as well as topical issues the implementation of innovative technologies in clinical practice.
As part of the conference, presentations were delivered on the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and pediatric pathologies. Particular attention was paid to modern methods of ophthalmic surgery and the use of high-tech equipment.
Participation in the event provided young researchers and doctors with an opportunity to present the results of their own studies and discuss them with leading experts in the field.
The organizers noted the high scientific level of the presentations and emphasized the importance of the conference as a professional platform for exchanging experience and advancing ophthalmological science in Ukraine.
