14 вересня 2026 року кандидат біологічних наук, доцент кафедри біології ПДМУ Анжела Ваценко та старший лаборант кафедри Тетяна Хілінська були відзначені грамотами «за значний особистий внесок у розвиток обдарованої молоді, високий рівень професійної компетентності, підтримку обдарованої молоді та примноження кращих традицій освітянської молоді Полтавщини».
Нагородження відбулося під час «Урочистої академії з нагоди нагородження переможців Всеукраїнських інтелектуальних конкурсів та олімпіад» у Полтавській обласній філармонії. У межах церемонії відзначили переможців ІІІ етапу Всеукраїнського конкурсу-захисту науково-дослідницьких робіт учнів – членів Малої академії наук України, а також їхніх наукових керівників і педагогів-наставників.
Представники кафедри біології ПДМУ долучаються до роботи Малої академії наук з учнівською молоддю. Зокрема, під керівництвом і за сприяння Анжели Ваценко школярі мають можливість долучатися до дослідницької роботи, набувати навичок публічного захисту власних наукових результатів, розвивати критичне та аналітичне мислення.

PSMU Department of Biology Representatives Honored for Supporting Gifted Youth
On 14 September 2026, Associate Professor Anzhela Vatsenko, PhD in Biology, and Senior Laboratory Assistant Tetiana Khilinska of the PSMU Department of Biology were honored with certificates of recognition for their “significant personal contribution to the development of gifted youth, high level of professional competence, support for talented young people, and promotion of the best educational traditions of Poltava Region.”
The awards were presented during the Ceremonial Academy Honoring the Winners of All-Ukrainian Intellectual Competitions and Olympiads, held at the Poltava Regional Philharmonic. As part of the ceremony, the winners of the third stage of the All-Ukrainian Competition for the Defense of Research Projects by Students — Members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine — as well as their research supervisors and teacher-mentors, were recognized.
Representatives of the PSMU Department of Biology contribute to the activities of the Junior Academy of Sciences by working with school students. In particular, under the guidance and with the support of Anzhela Vatsenko, school students have opportunities to engage in research activities, develop skills in publicly presenting and defending their research findings, and strengthen their critical and analytical thinking.
