12–15 лютого 2026 року відбувся базовий семінар EMDR І рівня, організований Асоціацією EMDR Україна для Лікарського товариства, до участі в якому була запрошена професор кафедри психіатрії, наркології та медичної психології ПДМУ Лариса Герасименко.
Захід об’єднав майже 70 лікарів – психіатрів і психотерапевтів – з різних регіонів України, які мали можливість ознайомитися з методом EMDR та провели свої перші сесії EMDR-терапії.
Лекційну частину в онлайн-форматі проводила провідна тренерка EMDR Europe Ганне Хуммель (Німеччина), а практичні заняття учасники опрацьовували офлайн разом із досвідченими фасилітаторками з України.
Спеціальним гостем семінару став колега зі США Тед Олейник, який поділився власним клінічним досвідом застосування техніки Flash у роботі з психічною травмою.
Професор кафедри ПДМУ Лариса Герасименко взяла активну участь у навчанні та професійному обміні досвідом. Її участь у заході такого рівня підкреслює прагнення кафедри до впровадження сучасних науково обґрунтованих методів психотерапії в освітню та клінічну практику на післядипломному рівні, а також сприяє зміцненню професійної спільноти фахівців у сфері психічного здоров’я.
Участь професора Лариси Герасименко в цьому міжнародному професійному заході є свідченням високих стандартів підготовки фахівців університету, його активної інтеграції у світову науково-практичну спільноту та відкриває нові можливості для подальшого розвитку освітніх і клінічних напрямів роботи.

PSMU Professor Participates in International EMDR Level I Seminar: Integrating Modern Trauma Therapy Approaches into Practice and Education
On February 12–15, 2026, the basic EMDR Level I seminar was held, organized by EMDR Ukraine Association for the Medical Society. Among the invited participants was Professor Larysa Herasymenko of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology at Poltava State Medical University.
The event brought together nearly 70 physicians — psychiatrists and psychotherapists — from different regions of Ukraine, who had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the EMDR method and conduct their first EMDR therapy sessions.
The online lecture component was delivered by leading EMDR Europe trainer Hanne Hummel (Germany), while the practical sessions were conducted offline with experienced facilitators from Ukraine.
A special guest of the seminar was a colleague from the United States, Ted Oleynik, who shared his clinical experience in applying the Flash technique in trauma therapy.
Professor Larysa Herasymenko actively participated in the training and professional exchange. Her involvement in an event of this level highlights the department’s commitment to implementing modern, evidence-based psychotherapeutic methods into postgraduate education and clinical practice, as well as strengthening the professional community in the field of mental health.
Professor Herasymenko’s participation in this international professional event demonstrates the university’s high standards in specialist training, its active integration into the global scientific and professional community, and opens new opportunities for further development of educational and clinical activities.
