30 вересня 2026 року в актовій залі Полтавського державного медичного університету відбулася зустріч ректора ПДМУ Вячеслава Ждана із першокурсниками медичного факультету № 1 та медичного факультету № 2.
Першокурсники мали можливість поставити запитання, отримати необхідну інформацію та безпосередньо поспілкуватися з ректором і представниками адміністрації.
Вячеслав Ждан наголосив на важливості відкритої комунікації з деканатами та закликав першокурсників звертатися до деканів і заступників деканів із питаннями, що виникають під час навчання. Також ректор звернув увагу на організаційні питання освітнього процесу, зокрема відпрацювання пропущених занять і врегулювання ситуацій, пов’язаних із поважними особистими обставинами.
«У вирі сьогоднішніх подій складно все передбачити, але ми збираємося для того, щоб приймати рішення. Ми вас чуємо і завжди відкриті до спілкування», – зазначив Вячеслав Ждан.
Окремо йшлося про організацію навчання в умовах безпекових викликів. Ректор зазначив, що формат освітнього процесу може змінюватися залежно від ситуації, та наголосив на важливості особистої мотивації здобувачів освіти й готовності докладати зусиль до навчання.
Перший проректор ПДМУ з науково-педагогічної роботи Валентин Дворник привітав першокурсників із вибором університету та майбутньої професії. Він наголосив, що медицина – фах із високими вимогами до підготовки, а перший курс стане для здобувачів освіти періодом адаптації до інтенсивного навчання та опанування фундаментальних дисциплін.
Також Валентин Дворник розповів про можливості, які ПДМУ пропонує здобувачам освіти поза межами освітнього процесу: участь у науковій роботі, волонтерських і донорських ініціативах, програмах академічної мобільності.
На завершення зустрічі Вячеслав Ждан відповів на запитання першокурсників та обговорив із ними питання, які їх турбують. Такий формат відкритого спілкування планують продовжувати й надалі.

PSMU Rector Viacheslav Zhdan Meets with First-Year Medical Students
On 30 September 2026, a meeting between Viacheslav Zhdan, Rector of Poltava State Medical University, and first-year students of Medical Faculty No. 1 and Medical Faculty No. 2 was held in the University Assembly Hall.
The first-year students had an opportunity to ask questions, receive the information they needed, and communicate directly with the Rector and representatives of the University administration.
Viacheslav Zhdan emphasized the importance of open communication with the faculties’ administrative offices and encouraged first-year students to contact deans and deputy deans with any questions arising during their studies. The Rector also addressed organizational aspects of the educational process, including making up missed classes and resolving situations related to valid personal circumstances.
“In the midst of everything happening today, it is difficult to anticipate everything, but we come together to make decisions. We hear you and are always open to communication,” Viacheslav Zhdan noted.
Particular attention was also paid to organizing education amid security challenges. The Rector noted that the format of the educational process may change depending on the situation and emphasized the importance of students’ personal motivation and willingness to make an effort in their studies.
Valentyn Dvornyk, First Vice-Rector for Research and Education at PSMU, welcomed the first-year students on their choice of university and future profession. He emphasized that medicine is a profession with high requirements for training and that the first year would be a period of adaptation to intensive study and the acquisition of fundamental knowledge.
Valentyn Dvornyk also spoke about opportunities that PSMU offers students beyond the educational process, including participation in research activities, volunteering and blood donation initiatives, and academic mobility programs.
At the end of the meeting, Viacheslav Zhdan answered the first-year students’ questions and discussed the issues that concerned them. This format of open communication is planned to continue in the future.
