25 лютого 2026 року на кафедру внутрішньої медицини №2 ПДМУ, яка розташована у КП «Полтавський обласний клінічний медичний кардіоваскулярний центр» Полтавської обласної ради, завітали учні 10 класу ліцею №29. Мета візиту – профорієнтація та ознайомлення з роботою лікарів.
«Один робочий день лікаря» – так назвали цей захід. Спочатку робочу п’ятихвилинку провів директор центру, доцент Костянтин Вакуленко, який ознайомив учнів зі структурою центру та основними напрямками його роботи. Потім завідувач відділення інтервенційної кардіології з БРІТ і рентгено-хірургічним блоком Дмитро Балицький продемонстрував технологію проведення коронарографії, і учні наочно побачили стентування коронарних артерій. А у відділенні кардіореабілітації доцент Юрій Тесленко ознайомив із техніками проведення реабілітаційних заходів.
Також юні гості побували у навчальній аудиторії кафедри та у палаті, де мали можливість поспілкуватися з пацієнтом клініки.
Останнім етапом заходу став запис електрокардіограми одного з учнів, який проводила його однокласниця за підтримки керівника кафедри.
А на завершення завідувач кафедри, професор Іван Катеренчук подарував ліцеїстам свій посібник із профілактики серцево-судинних захворювань та кулькові ручки, побажавши, щоб ними вони у вересні записали свою першу лекцію в університеті.
На згадку про захід ліцею подарували книги, видані до сторіччя ПДМУ та 50-річчя кафедри внутрішньої медицини №2.

A Doctor’s Working Day as a Career Guidance Event at PSMU
On February 25, 2026, tenth-grade pupils of Lyceum No. 29 visited the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU), located at the Poltava Regional Clinical Cardiovascular Medical Center of the Poltava Regional Council. The purpose of the visit was career guidance and familiarization with the medical profession.
The event was titled “One Working Day of a Doctor.” It began with a morning briefing conducted by the Center’s Director, Associate Professor Kostiantyn Vakulenko, who introduced the students to the structure of the Center and its main areas of activity.
Afterwards, Dmytro Balytskyi, Head of the Interventional Cardiology Department with the Intensive Care Unit and X-ray Surgical Block, demonstrated the technology of coronary angiography, allowing the students to observe coronary artery stenting firsthand. In the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department, Associate Professor Yurii Teslenko presented rehabilitation techniques and explained how recovery measures are carried out.
The young guests also visited the department’s teaching classroom and a hospital ward, where they had the opportunity to speak with a patient of the clinic
The final stage of the event included recording an electrocardiogram (ECG) for one of the students, performed by his classmate under the supervision of the Head of the Department.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Head of the Department, Professor Ivan Katerenchuk, presented the lyceum students with his handbook on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and ballpoint pens, wishing that in September, they would use them to take notes at their first university lecture.
As a commemorative gift, the lyceum received books published to mark the 100th anniversary of Poltava State Medical University and the 50th anniversary of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2.
