До Дня подяки волонтерам, який в Україні відзначають 20 квітня, волонтерський загін «Almino» Студентського парламенту Полтавського державного медичного університету відвідав Гадяцький дитячий будинок Полтавської обласної ради – інтернатний заклад, де опікуються вихованням, навчанням і соціальною адаптацією дітей-сиріт та дітей, позбавлених батьківського піклування.
Для вихованців закладу ця зустріч стала справжнім святом. Волонтери підготували насичену програму з рухливими іграми, інтерактивами та творчими активностями. Особливу радість малечі подарували анімаційні персонажі – Міккі та Мінні Маус, а також ростова лялька Панда, які створили атмосферу казки та безтурботності.
Дитячі усмішки, щирий сміх і відкриті емоції стали найкращою подякою для волонтерів. Саме такі моменти, за словами учасників, підкреслюють цінність їхньої діяльності та надихають продовжувати допомагати.
Окрім розважальної частини, діти отримали подарунки – солодощі та книжки, надані соціально відповідальним бізнесом, що стали приємним завершенням зустрічі для всіх її учасників.
Для студентів Полтавського державного медичного університету це не лише можливість допомогти, а й частина навчання і професійного становлення, що розвиває емпатію, людяність і базові професійні цінності. Care That Warms the Heart: “Almino” Volunteer Team of PSMU Brings Joy to Children at the Hadyach Orphanage
On the occasion of Volunteer Appreciation Day, celebrated in Ukraine on April 20, the “Almino” volunteer team of the Student Parliament of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) visited the Hadyach Children’s Home of the Poltava Regional Council—an institutional facility dedicated to the upbringing, education, and social adaptation of orphans and children deprived of parental care.
For the children, this visit became a true celebration. The volunteers prepared a rich program featuring active games, interactive activities, and creative entertainment. Special joy was brought by animated characters—Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as a panda mascot—who created an atmosphere of fairy tale and carefree fun.
Children’s smiles, sincere laughter, and open emotions became the greatest reward for the volunteers. According to the participants, such moments highlight the value of their work and inspire them to continue helping others.
In addition to the entertainment program, the children received gifts—sweets and books provided by socially responsible businesses—which served as a pleasant conclusion to the meeting for all participants.
For students of Poltava State Medical University, such initiatives are not only an opportunity to help but also an important part of their education and professional development, fostering empathy, humanity, and core professional values.
