28 квітня 2026 року в Полтавському державному медичному університеті відбулася Вчена рада та Конференція трудового колективу ПДМУ.
Відкрив засідання та оголосив порядок денний Голова Вченої ради, ректор ПДМУ, професор Вячеслав Ждан.
Він представив звіт про роботу Вченої ради ПДМУ за 5 років та окреслив завдання й перспективи діяльності на наступний термін.
У доповіді ректора було висвітлено діяльність Вченої ради як колегіального органу управління, що функціонує відповідно до чинного законодавства України та нормативної бази у сфері освіти і науки. Окреслено ключові результати роботи за п’ятирічний період. Зокрема, йшлося про трансформацію закладу з академії в університет та відповідні зміни в його функціонуванні. Важливою складовою цього процесу є запровадження та ефективна діяльність Наглядової ради, яка працює в університеті вже 8 років. Окремо відзначено розвиток кадрового потенціалу: 368 науково-педагогічних працівників пройшли підвищення кваліфікації, у тому числі за кордоном.
Також підкреслено досягнення здобувачів вищої освіти: лауреатами Премії НАН України стали 12 осіб, іменні стипендії Полтавської міської ради отримали 20 здобувачів, академічні стипендії імені Героїв Небесної Сотні – 27.
Значну увагу зосереджено на розвитку науково-дослідної діяльності, зокрема її фінансовому забезпеченню через внутрішнє фінансування та отримання державної підтримки у 2026 році. Водночас висвітлено роботу спеціалізованих вчених рад – протягом звітного періоду проведено 102 засідання.
Важливим напрямом розвитку залишаються наукові видання університету. Журнали «Український стоматологічний альманах» та «Світ медицини та біології», які індексуються в міжнародних наукометричних базах, зокрема Scopus та Web of Science. Окремі нові наукові видання університету наразі перебувають на етапі розгляду щодо включення до міжнародних наукометричних баз.
У доповіді також було окреслено стратегічні напрями розвитку ПДМУ на наступні 5 років: освіта, наука та інновації, інтернаціоналізація, цифрова трансформація, розвиток людського капіталу та сталий розвиток.
На завершення Вячеслав Ждан відзначив позитивну динаміку результатів складання іспиту КРОК-1 у 2026 році, що свідчить про підвищення якості підготовки здобувачів освіти.
Після цього було заслухано річний звіт первинної організації професійної спілки працівників охорони здоров’я України ПДМУ представив голова організації, доцент Ярослав Рибалка.
У доповіді йшлося про основні напрями діяльності профспілки: соціальний захист працівників, підтримка членів колективу, розвиток корпоративної культури та участь у суспільному житті.
Значну увагу приділено фінансовій звітності. Суттєва частина коштів була спрямована на підтримку Збройних Сил України та допомогу працівникам університету.
Звіт затверджено учасниками засідання одноголосно.
Про результати рейтингу кафедр університету за показниками навчально-методичної, наукової, міжнародної, організаційної та виховної роботи за 2025 рік доповів перший проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи, професор Валентин Дворник. Він представив узагальнений аналіз діяльності структурних підрозділів.
У ході засідання також розглянуто питання продовження Колективного договору між університетом і профспілковою організацією. За результатами доповіді Ярослава Рибалки це рішення було підтримано одноголосно.
Питання виборів до складу Вченої ради нового скликання на наступний п’ятирічний термін представив голова робочої групи, професор Дмитро Аветіков. Він поінформував про проведену підготовчу роботу та запропонований склад Вченої ради, який одноголосно підтримано учасниками засідання під час відкритого голосування.
Проректор з наукової роботи професор Ігор Кайдашев виніс на розгляд і затвердження низку питань, пов’язаних із науковою діяльністю та підготовкою кадрів вищої кваліфікації. Серед них: вступ до докторантури, виконання дисертаційних досліджень, відкриття докторантури, затвердження складів разових спеціалізованих вчених рад, а також наукових видань і монографій університету.
Засідання Вченої ради засвідчило послідовний розвиток Полтавського державного медичного університету, його орієнтацію на стратегічні цілі та зміцнення позицій у національному й міжнародному освітньо-науковому просторі.

PSMU Held Academic Council Meeting and Staff Conference: Key Outcomes
On April 28, 2026, the Academic Council meeting and the Staff Conference of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) took place.
The session was opened and the agenda was announced by the Chair of the Academic Council, Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan.
He presented a report on the activities of the PSMU Academic Council over the past five years and outlined the objectives and prospects for the next term.
The Rector’s report highlighted the work of the Academic Council as a collegial governing body operating in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and the regulatory framework in the field of education and science. Key achievements over the five-year period were presented, including the transformation of the institution from an academy into a university and the corresponding changes in its functioning. An important component of this process is the establishment and effective operation of the Supervisory Board, which has been functioning at the university for eight years. Special attention was also paid to the development of human resources: 368 academic and teaching staff members have undergone advanced training, including abroad.
The achievements of higher education students were also emphasized: 12 individuals became laureates of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Award, 20 students received named scholarships from the Poltava City Council, and 27 were awarded academic scholarships named after the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
Considerable attention was given to the development of research activities, particularly their financial support through internal funding and the receipt of state support in 2026. The work of specialized academic councils was also highlighted—102 meetings were held during the reporting period.
University scientific publications remain an important area of development. The journals Ukrainian Dental Almanac and World of Medicine and Biology are indexed in international scientometric databases, including Scopus and Web of Science. Several new university journals are currently under consideration for inclusion in international scientometric databases.
The report also outlined PSMU’s strategic priorities for the next five years: education, research and innovation, internationalization, digital transformation, human capital development, and sustainable development.
In conclusion, Viacheslav Zhdan noted the positive dynamics in the results of the KROK-1 exam in 2026, indicating an improvement in the quality of student training.
This was followed by the annual report of the primary organization of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of Ukraine at PSMU, presented by its head, Associate Professor Yaroslav Rybalka.
The report covered the main areas of trade union activity: social protection of employees, support for staff members, development of corporate culture, and participation in public life.
Significant attention was paid to financial reporting. A substantial portion of the funds was directed toward supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and providing assistance to university employees.
The report was unanimously approved by the participants.
The results of the university departments’ ranking for 2025—based on educational and methodological, scientific, international, organizational, and educational work—were presented by the First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk. He delivered a comprehensive analysis of the performance of structural units.
During the meeting, the issue of extending the Collective Agreement between the university and the trade union organization was also considered. Based on the report by Yaroslav Rybalka, the decision was unanimously supported.
The issue of electing a new composition of the Academic Council for the next five-year term was presented by the head of the working group, Professor Davyd Avetikov. He informed about the preparatory work carried out and proposed the composition of the Academic Council, which was unanimously approved by open voting.
Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Ihor Kaidashev, submitted for consideration and approval a number of issues related to scientific activity and the training of highly qualified personnel. These included admission to doctoral studies, implementation of dissertation research, the opening of doctoral programs, approval of one-time specialized academic councils, as well as university scientific publications and monographs.
The Academic Council meeting demonstrated the consistent development of Poltava State Medical University, its focus on strategic goals, and the strengthening of its position in the national and international educational and research space.
