15 квітня 2026 року на кафедрі пропедевтики хірургічної стоматології ПДМУ відбувся І етап Всеукраїнської студентської олімпіади з навчальної дисципліни «Хірургічна стоматологія» для здобувачів освіти 3-го курсу стоматологічного факультету.
Олімпіада проходила на базі КП «Полтавський обласний центр стоматології – стоматологічна клінічна поліклініка» ПОР.
В організації та проведенні заходу взяли участь декан стоматологічного факультету Лілія Буря, директор з медичних питань лікувально-діагностичного центру «Медіон» Максим Черкун, а також начальник відділу ТЗН ПДМУ Марина Бутович.
З напутніми словами до учасників звернувся завідувач кафедри пропедевтики хірургічної стоматології, професор Вадим Новіков.
Змагання складалося з двох етапів: письмового розв’язання запропонованої клінічної ситуації та бліц-опитування, яке включало запитання й цікаві факти з практики хірургічної стоматології.
Під час проведення олімпіади учасники отримали заохочувальні призи, які були забезпечені представником лікувально-діагностичного центру «Медіон». Це стало додатковою мотивацією для студентів і сприяло активній участі в конкурсі.
Студенти висловили подяку викладачам кафедри за творчий підхід до організації заходу та дотримання принципів академічної доброчесності. Організатори, у свою чергу, побажали учасникам подальших успіхів у навчанні та професійному розвитку.
Результати олімпіади буде оголошено під час урочистого нагородження переможців найближчим часом.

The First Stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Oral Surgery Held at PSMU
On April 15, 2026, the Department of Oral Surgery Propaedeutics at Poltava State Medical University hosted the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the academic discipline “Oral Surgery” for third-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry.
The Olympiad was held at the Municipal Enterprise “Poltava Regional Center of Dentistry – Dental Clinical Polyclinic” of the Poltava Regional Council.
The event was organized with the participation of Liliia Buria, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Maksym Cherkun, Medical Director of the Medical and Diagnostic Center “Medion”; and Maryna Butovych, Head of the Technical Teaching Aids Department at PSMU.
Participants were welcomed with opening remarks by Professor Vadym Novikov, Head of the Department of Oral Surgery Propaedeutics.
The competition consisted of two stages: a written solution of a proposed clinical case and a blitz quiz that included questions and interesting facts from the practice of surgical dentistry.
During the Olympiad, participants received incentive prizes provided by a representative of the “Medion” Medical and Diagnostic Center. This served as additional motivation for students and encouraged active participation in the competition.
Students expressed their gratitude to the department’s teaching staff for their creative approach to organizing the event and for adhering to the principles of academic integrity. In turn, the organizers wished the participants further success in their studies and professional development.
The results of the Olympiad will be announced in the near future during the official award ceremony.
