27 серпня 2026 року у Полтавському державному медичному університеті відбулося засідання Вченої ради. Його учасники підбили підсумки роботи університету у 2025–2026 навчальному році та окреслили пріоритети на новий навчальний рік. Засідання відкрив голова Вченої ради, ректор ПДМУ, професор Вячеслав Ждан.
Перш ніж перейти до розгляду основних питань порядку денного, було відзначено працівників університету за результати професійної діяльності та з нагоди Дня медичного працівника.
Почесною грамотою Міністерства охорони здоров’я України за вагомий особистий внесок у розвиток охорони здоров’я та високий професіоналізм нагороджено проректора ЗВО з науково-педагогічної та виховної роботи, професора Валерія Похилька.
З нагоди Дня медичного працівника науково-педагогічних працівників ПДМУ відзначено Почесними грамотами Полтавської обласної ради та Полтавської обласної військової адміністрації. За багаторічну працю та з нагоди ювілейних дат і професійного свята працівники університету отримали також Почесні грамоти виконавчого комітету Полтавської міської ради.
Медаллю «Відзнака ректора ПДМУ» з нагоди ювілейної дати нагороджено завідувача кафедри дитячої хірургічної стоматології, професора Павла Ткаченка та завідувачку кафедри внутрішньої медицини № 1, професора Ганну Маслову.
Ключовою частиною засідання стала доповідь ректора ПДМУ, професора Вячеслава Ждана, про підсумки діяльності університету у 2025–2026 навчальному році.
Одним із показників системної роботи колективу стали результати університету в національних та міжнародних рейтингах. ПДМУ посів 33-тє місце у Консолідованому рейтингу закладів вищої освіти України, 47-ме – у рейтингу «ТОП-200 Україна», 46-те – у рейтингу Scopus та 46-те – у Webometrics.
За середнім балом НМТ вступників на контрактну форму навчання ПДМУ посів 42-ге місце у рейтингу закладів вищої освіти України.
ПДМУ є лідером серед закладів вищої освіти Полтавської області, входить до числа найкращих закладів вищої освіти центрального регіону України та посідає 8-ме місце серед медичних закладів вищої освіти України.
Важливим результатом роботи університету стали й здобутки у сфері забезпечення якості освіти. Упродовж звітного періоду успішно акредитовано 7 освітніх програм, ще три акредитації заплановано на поточний рік. Як зазначив ректор, ПДМУ є одним із трьох медичних закладів вищої освіти України, освітні програми яких акредитовані міжнародною агенцією IAAR. Йдеться про освітньо-професійні програми «Медицина» та «Стоматологія».
У доповіді також йшлося про запровадження у 2026 році Програми військової підготовки.
Вячеслав Ждан поінформував членів Вченої ради про перебіг вступної кампанії–2026, кількість поданих заяв та результати прийому. Окрему увагу він приділив результатам складання ліцензійних інтегрованих іспитів КРОК 1, КРОК 2 та КРОК 3, результатам Єдиного державного кваліфікаційного іспиту, зокрема в ННМІ та Фаховому медико-фармацевтичному коледжі, а також динаміці показників прийому в інтернатуру за останні три роки.
Важливим напрямом роботи університету залишається розвиток наукової діяльності та підготовка наукових кадрів. Серед показників наукової результативності ПДМУ – h-індекс 42 у базі Scopus та 37 у Web of Science.
Підсумовуючи, Вячеслав Ждан подякував колективу за професійну роботу, стійкість і відповідальність в умовах воєнного часу.
Окремо він згадав працівників університету, які відійшли у вічність. Їхню пам’ять присутні вшанували хвилиною мовчання.
Під час засідання було затверджено основні документи, необхідні для організації освітнього процесу у 2026–2027 навчальному році: графіки освітнього процесу, робочі навчальні плани за освітньо-професійними програмами, план роботи Навчально-методичного відділу забезпечення якості освіти, бюджет робочого часу науково-педагогічних і педагогічних працівників, розподіл кафедр за факультетами та структурними підрозділами університету.
Перший проректор ЗВО з науково-педагогічної роботи, професор Валентин Дворник, поінформував про відповідні організаційні питання.
Окремо під час засідання розглянули питання виховної роботи зі здобувачами освіти. Вчена рада затвердила відповідний план на 2026–2027 навчальний рік. Проректор ЗВО з науково-педагогічної та виховної роботи, професор Валерій Похилько принагідно відзначив активну волонтерську діяльність колективу університету на підтримку Збройних Сил України та висловив вдячність присутнім за участь у цій важливій справі.
Серед інших питань, розглянутих Вченою радою, – затвердження її складу та плану роботи на 2026–2027 навчальний рік, а також питання вступу до докторантури, затвердження навчальних видань та надання їм відповідних грифів.
Насамкінець члени Вченої ради обговорили заплановані заходи з підготовки до відзначення 105-річчя Полтавського державного медичного університету.

From Year-End Results to New Priorities: PSMU Academic Council Holds Meeting
On 27 August 2026, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at Poltava State Medical University. The participants reviewed the university’s performance in the 2025–2026 academic year and outlined priorities for the new academic year. The meeting was opened by Professor Vyacheslav Zhdan, Chair of the Academic Council and Rector of PSMU.
Before proceeding to the main items on the agenda, university staff members were recognized for their professional achievements and on the occasion of Medical Workers’ Day.
Professor Valerii Pokhylko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Extracurricular Activities, was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for his significant personal contribution to the development of healthcare and his high level of professionalism.
On the occasion of Medical Workers’ Day, PSMU academic and teaching staff were presented with Certificates of Merit from the Poltava Regional Council and the Poltava Regional Military Administration. For many years of dedicated service, as well as on the occasion of milestone anniversaries and the professional holiday, university staff members also received Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Poltava City Council.
The “PSMU Rector’s Distinction” Medal was awarded on the occasion of milestone anniversaries to Professor Pavlo Tkachenko, Head of the Department of Paediatric Oral Surgery, and Professor Hanna Maslova, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1.
The key part of the meeting was the report by Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, Rector of PSMU, on the university’s performance during the 2025–2026 academic year.
One of the indicators of the university community’s systematic work was PSMU’s performance in national and international rankings. PSMU ranked 33rd in the Consolidated Ranking of Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions, 47th in the “TOP-200 Ukraine” ranking, 46th in the Scopus ranking, and 46th in Webometrics.
Based on the average NMT score of applicants admitted to fee-paying programmes, PSMU ranked 42nd among Ukrainian higher education institutions.
PSMU is the leader among higher education institutions in the Poltava region, is among the top higher education institutions in central Ukraine, and ranks 8th among medical higher education institutions in Ukraine.
An important achievement of the university was also its progress in ensuring the quality of education. During the reporting period, seven educational programmes were successfully accredited, with three more accreditations scheduled for the current year. As the Rector noted, PSMU is one of only three medical higher education institutions in Ukraine whose educational programmes have been accredited by the international accreditation agency IAAR. These are the Medicine and Dentistry educational and professional programmes.
The report also addressed the introduction of the Military Training Programme in 2026.
Professor Viacheslav Zhdan informed the Academic Council members about the progress of the 2026 admissions campaign, the number of applications submitted, and the admission results. Particular attention was paid to the results of the KROK 1, KROK 2 and KROK 3 licensing integrated examinations and the Unified State Qualification Examination, including the results at the Medical Education and Research Institute and the Professional Medical and Pharmaceutical College, as well as to admission trends for postgraduate internship programmes over the past three years.
The development of research activities and the training of research personnel remain important areas of the university’s work. Among PSMU’s research performance indicators are an h-index of 42 in Scopus and 37 in Web of Science.
In conclusion, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan thanked the university community for its professional work, resilience and sense of responsibility during wartime.
He also paid tribute to university employees who had passed away. Those present observed a minute of silence in their memory.
During the meeting, the key documents required to organize the educational process in the 2026–2027 academic year were approved. These included academic calendars, working curricula for educational and professional programmes, the work plan of the Educational and Methodological Department for Ensuring the Quality of Education, the working-time budget for academic and teaching staff, and the allocation of departments among faculties and structural units of the university.
Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, First Vice-Rector for Education and Research, informed the Council about the relevant organizational matters.
The Academic Council also considered issues related to educational and extracurricular work with students. The relevant plan for the 2026–2027 academic year was approved. Professor Valerii Pokhylko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Extracurricular Activities, highlighted the university community’s active volunteer work in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and expressed his gratitude to those present for their participation in this important effort.
Other issues considered by the Academic Council included approval of its composition and work plan for the 2026–2027 academic year, admission to doctoral programmes, approval of educational publications, and the granting of the relevant institutional approvals to such publications.
Finally, the Academic Council members discussed the planned activities to prepare for the celebration of the 105th anniversary of Poltava State Medical University.
