Дослідження, розпочате в стінах Полтавського державного медичного університету, отримало логічне продовження вже у професійній діяльності його авторів. На ХХХ ювілейному конгресі студентів та молодих учених «Майбутнє за наукою» (м. Тернопіль) лікарі-стоматологи Роман Охріменко (нині аспірант НУОЗ ім. П.Л. Шупика) та Вікторія Охріменко, а також асистент кафедри нервових хвороб ПДМУ Анастасія Шкодіна представили результати своєї багаторічної роботи.
Проєкт на тему «Прогностична модель ризику тяжкого бруксизму за даними PSQI, DASS-21, MPFI з урахуванням віку та статі», виконаний під керівництвом кандидата медичних наук Дмитра Бойка (ПДМУ) та кандидата медичних наук Максима Павленка (НУОЗ ім. П.Л. Шупика), посів ІІ призове місце у секції «Стоматологія та оториноларингологія».
Автори розпочали роботу над цією темою ще у студентські роки, і сьогодні вона трансформувалася у прикладну прогностичну модель, яка дозволяє оцінювати ризик розвитку бруксизму, враховуючи якість сну та психоемоційні показники пацієнта в рутинній клінічній практиці.
Цей кейс є прикладом того, як студентська наукова ініціатива переростає у повноцінне дослідження, що продовжується і після завершення навчання та має практичне значення для клінічної роботи лікаря.

From Student Research to Scientific Outcome: PSMU Graduates Among Prize Winners of the “Future Belongs to Science” Congress
A study that began within the walls of Poltava State Medical University has found its logical continuation in the professional careers of its authors. At the 30th anniversary Congress of Students and Young Scientists “Future Belongs to Science” (Ternopil), dentists Roman Okhrimenko (currently a PhD student at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine), Viktoriia Okhrimenko, and Anastasiia Shkodina, Assistant at the Department of Neurology of PSMU, presented the results of their long-term work.
The project titled “A Prognostic Model of Severe Bruxism Risk Based on PSQI, DASS-21, and MPFI Indicators with Consideration of Age and Gender,” conducted under the supervision of Candidate of Medical Sciences Dmytro Boiko (PSMU) and Candidate of Medical Sciences Maksym Pavlenko (Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine), won second prize in the section “Dentistry and Otorhinolaryngology.”
The authors began working on this topic during their student years, and today it has evolved into an applied prognostic model that enables the assessment of bruxism risk, taking into account sleep quality and patients’ psycho-emotional indicators in routine clinical practice.
This case exemplifies how a student research initiative can grow into a full-fledged study that continues beyond graduation and gains practical significance for clinical work.
