1 жовтня 2026 року, у святковий день Покрови Пресвятої Богородиці, День українського козацтва та День захисників і захисниць України, на кафедрі пропедевтики хірургічної стоматології ПДМУ відбулася патріотично-виховна зустріч із випускником університету, учасником бойових дій та військовим медиком. Захід став нагодою вшанувати захисників та захисниць України, віддати шану військовим медикам та почути безпосередній досвід фахівця, який виконує професійний обов’язок в умовах війни.
На початку зустрічі учасники наголосили на важливій ролі військових медиків, які щодня жертовно працюють на передовій, рятуючи життя та здоров’я українських захисників.
Центральною частиною зустрічі став виступ почесного гостя – випускника стоматологічного факультету нашого університету, старшого лейтенанта медичної служби, учасника бойових дій та представника Полтавського міського осередку ГО «Захист держави» Степана Чуприни.
Особливу увагу було приділено питанням особистої безпеки медичного персоналу та наданню майбутнім фахівцям цінних практичних порад щодо алгоритмів дій і виживання залежно від зони перебування – безпосередньо наближеної до лінії зіткнення (у мобільних стабілізаційних пунктах) чи в евакуаційних військових шпиталях.
Після завершення заходу науково-педагогічні працівники та здобувачі вищої освіти ПДМУ висловили щиру вдячність шановному гостю за змістовну й натхненну зустріч та побажали всім присутнім мирного неба, витримки та незламності.

From the University Classroom to the Medical Front: Meeting with a PSMU Graduate
On October 1, 2026, on the festive occasion of the Intercession of the Holy Theotokos, Ukrainian Cossacks Day, and the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine, the Department of Propedeutics of Oral Surgery at Poltava State Medical University held a patriotic and educational meeting with a university graduate, combat veteran, and military medic. The event provided an opportunity to honor the defenders of Ukraine, pay tribute to military medics, and hear firsthand experience from a specialist fulfilling his professional duty in wartime.
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants emphasized the important role of military medics, who work tirelessly on the front line every day, saving the lives and preserving the health of Ukrainian defenders.
The central part of the meeting was a presentation by the honoured guest, Stepan Chupryna, a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry of our university, Senior Lieutenant of the Medical Service, combat veteran, and representative of the Poltava City branch of the NGO “Defense of the State.”
Particular attention was paid to the personal safety of medical personnel. The future healthcare professionals received valuable practical advice on appropriate response and survival procedures depending on the area in which they are working – whether in locations close to the line of contact, including mobile stabilization points, or in military evacuation hospitals.
Following the event, the academic and teaching staff and students of PSMU expressed their sincere gratitude to the honored guest for the informative and inspiring meeting and wished everyone present peace, strength, resilience, and steadfastness.
