Короткострокова (двомісячна) стипендіальна програма здійснюється за фінансової підтримки Великої Британії у рамках сприяння виконанню статті X КБТЗ та відкрита для громадян Казахстану, Киргизстану, Таджикистану, Туркменістану, Узбекистану, Монголії, України та Республіки Молдова. Кандидати повинні мати досвід у сферах вірусології, мікробіології, біотехнологій або суміжних біологічних науках у галузі здоров'я людини, тварин або рослин, а також зацікавленість у дослідженнях подвійного використання, що викликають занепокоєння (інфекційні захворювання, редагування генів тощо). Стипендіатам надається фінансова підтримка, яка складається з щомісячної стипендії, покриття транспортних витрат, медичного страхування та відшкодування витрат, пов'язаних з візою. Стипендіальна програма буде проходити у лабораторіях Міжнародного центру генетичної інженерії та біотехнологій (далі – ICGEB) в Італії, Індії, Південній Африці та в Регіональному дослідницькому центрі ICGEB у Китаї. Applications Open for the ICGEB Biosecurity Fellowship Program for Scientists
Applications are now open for the ICGEB Biosecurity Fellowship Program, a short-term (two-month) fellowship funded by the United Kingdom in support of the implementation of Article X of the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC).
The program is open to nationals of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova.
Applicants should have expertise in virology, microbiology, biotechnology or related biological sciences in the fields of human, animal or plant health, as well as an interest in dual-use research of concern (DURC), including topics such as infectious diseases, gene editing and related areas. Proficiency in English is required. Women scientists are particularly encouraged to apply.

Fellows will receive comprehensive financial support, including a monthly stipend, travel expenses, medical insurance and visa-related cost reimbursement.
The fellowship will be carried out at laboratories of the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) located in Italy, India and South Africa, as well as at the ICGEB Regional Research Centre in China.
