Представники волонтерського загону «Єдність» Полтавського державного медичного університету взяли участь у соціально-просвітницькій лекції, організованій Департаментом культури, молоді та сім’ї Полтавської міської ради з нагоди Міжнародного дня боротьби з вірусом папіломи людини, який відзначають 4 березня.
Захід проходив у межах проєкту «Твоє здоров’я» за підтримки клініки «CHISTOTILO». Спікеркою зустрічі стала Вікторія Ганжа – дитячий хірург, дерматовенеролог, онкохірург, членкиня асоціацій USAPS та EADV.
Під час лекції обговорювали сучасні дані щодо поширеності вірусу папіломи людини, механізми його передачі, клінічні прояви та потенційні онкогенні ризики. Окрему увагу приділили питанням первинної профілактики, зокрема вакцинації, яка відповідно до міжнародних рекомендацій є найбільш ефективним методом запобігання розвитку ВПЛ-асоційованих захворювань, включно з раком шийки матки.
Волонтерський загін «Єдність» ПДМУ висловлює щиру вдячність Департаменту культури, молоді та сім’ї Полтавської міської ради за запрошення та можливість долучитися до важливої просвітницької ініціативи, спрямованої на підвищення обізнаності молоді щодо профілактики ВПЛ та збереження громадського здоров’я.

PSMU “Yednist” Volunteers Participated in a Lecture Marking the International HPV Awareness Day
Representatives of the “Yednist” Volunteer Team of Poltava State Medical University took part in a social awareness lecture organized by the Department of Culture, Youth and Family of the Poltava City Council on the occasion of the International Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Awareness Day, observed annually on March 4.
The event was held within the framework of the “Your Health” project with the support of the CHISTOTILO Clinic. The speaker of the meeting was Viktoriia Hanzha, a pediatric surgeon, dermatovenereologist, and oncologic surgeon, and a member of the USAPS and EADV professional associations.
During the lecture, participants discussed current data on the prevalence of human papillomavirus, mechanisms of its transmission, clinical manifestations, and potential oncogenic risks. Particular attention was given to primary prevention, especially vaccination, which, according to international recommendations, is the most effective method of preventing HPV-associated diseases, including cervical cancer.
The “Yednist” Volunteer Team of Poltava State Medical University expresses sincere gratitude to the Department of Culture, Youth and Family of the Poltava City Council for the invitation and the opportunity to join this important awareness initiative aimed at increasing young people’s knowledge about HPV prevention and the protection of public health.
