13 травня 2026 року у Полтавському державному медичному університеті відбулося засідання Вченої ради університету, під час якого було розглянуто низку важливих питань діяльності закладу вищої освіти. Засідання відкрив голова Вченої ради, ректор ПДМУ, професор Вячеслав Ждан.
Одним із ключових питань порядку денного стало питання обрання голови Вченої ради Полтавського державного медичного університету на наступні п’ять років. Із доповіддю з цього питання виступив перший проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи, професор Валентин Дворник.
Члени Вченої ради більшістю голосів підтримали кандидатуру ректора ПДМУ, професора Вячеслава Ждана. Результати голосування оформлено протоколом.
Вячеслав Ждан подякував членам Вченої ради за довіру та підтримку, наголосивши на важливості спільної роботи задля розвитку університету в умовах сучасних викликів. Він також зазначив, що й надалі працюватиме над забезпеченням стабільної діяльності, збереженням науково-педагогічного колективу та розвитком освітнього й наукового потенціалу ПДМУ. Колегам він побажав здоров’я, наснаги, професійних успіхів і витримки.
У ході засідання також було заслухано звіти завідувачів кафедр про виконання умов контрактів на посадах за останні п’ять років. Із відповідними доповідями виступили завідувач кафедри дитячої терапевтичної стоматології професор Людмила Каськова, завідувач кафедри терапевтичної стоматології професор Тетяна Петрушанко та завідувач кафедри біологічної та біоорганічної хімії професор Каріне Непорада. Члени профільних комісій надали позитивні висновки щодо результатів роботи та внесли пропозиції щодо подальшого вдосконалення діяльності кафедр.
Окрему увагу учасники засідання приділили питанням навчально-методичної та наукової роботи ПДМУ. Перший проректор з науково-педагогічної роботи, професор Валентин Дворник представив навчальні видання науково-педагогічних працівників університету, винесені на затвердження Вченої ради з наданням їм відповідного грифу. Серед них – навчальний посібник «Паразитологія» для здобувачів освіти за освітньо-професійною програмою «Біологія» та навчальний посібник «Сучасні методи діагностики захворювань скронево-нижньощелепного суглоба» для слухачів післядипломної освіти.
Також було підбито підсумки конкурсу наукових праць молодих учених Полтавського державного медичного університету, присвяченого Дню науки. Із доповіддю виступив голова Ради молодих вчених університету, асистент кафедри хірургії №2, доктор філософії Георгій Левицький.
Доповідач зазначив, що порівняно з попереднім роком відзначається зростання кількості поданих наукових робіт, а також покращення їх наукової цінності та практичної спрямованості. Загалом на конкурс було подано 14 наукових статей молодих учених університету.
У межах засідання свої звіти про виконану наукову, науково-методичну та науково-практичну роботу за період отримання стипендії Кабінету Міністрів України представили стипендіати – доктор філософії Олександр Максименко, викладач кафедри анатомії людини, та доктор філософії Анастасія Шкодіна, асистент кафедри нервових хвороб. Вчена рада затвердила звіти стипендіатів.
Ще одне питання порядку денного стосувалося виборів заступника голови Вченої ради Полтавського державного медичного університету на наступні п’ять років. За результатами відкритого голосування на цю посаду обрано першого проректора з науково-педагогічної роботи, професора Валентина Дворника.
Зокрема, проректор з наукової роботи, професор Ігор Кайдашев на завершення засідання звернув увагу завідувачів кафедр на необхідність активізації публікаційної діяльності та посилення уваги до академічної доброчесності в умовах розвитку цифрових технологій.

Meeting of the Academic Council of PSMU: Personnel Decisions, Departmental Reports and Scientific Achievements
On May 13, 2026, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at Poltava State Medical University, during which a number of important issues related to the university’s activities were considered. The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Academic Council, Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan.
One of the key items on the agenda was the election of the Chairman of the Academic Council of Poltava State Medical University for the next five years. The report on this matter was delivered by the First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk.
The members of the Academic Council supported the candidacy of Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, by a majority vote. The voting results were officially recorded in the minutes.
Viacheslav Zhdan thanked the members of the Academic Council for their trust and support, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts for the university’s development amid current challenges. He also noted that he would continue working to ensure the stable operation of the university, preserve its academic staff, and further develop the educational and scientific potential of PSMU. He wished his colleagues good health, inspiration, professional success, and resilience.
During the meeting, reports from department heads regarding the fulfillment of contract obligations over the past five years were also presented. Corresponding reports were delivered by Professor Liudmyla Kaskova, Head of the Department of Pediatric Therapeutic Dentistry; Professor Tetiana Petrushanko, Head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry; and Professor Karine Neporada, Head of the Department of Biological and Bioorganic Chemistry. Members of the specialized commissions provided positive evaluations of the departments’ work and proposed recommendations for further improvement.
Special attention was also paid to educational-methodological and scientific activities at PSMU. First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, presented educational publications prepared by the university’s academic staff for approval by the Academic Council and for granting official academic endorsement. Among them were the textbook “Parasitology” for students of the educational and professional program “Biology” and the manual “Modern Methods of Diagnosing Temporomandibular Joint Disorders” for postgraduate learners.
The meeting also summarized the results of the young scientists’ research competition at Poltava State Medical University dedicated to Science Day. The report was delivered by Heorhii Levytskyi, PhD, the Chairman of the University Council of Young Scientists, Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery No. 2.
The speaker noted an increase in both the number of submitted research papers and their scientific value and practical relevance compared to the previous year. In total, 14 scientific articles by young researchers of the university were submitted to the competition.
As part of the meeting, scholarship recipients of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine presented reports on their scientific, methodological, and practical activities during the scholarship period. The reports were delivered by Oleksandr Maksymenko, PhD, lecturer at the Department of Human Anatomy, and Anastasiia Shkodina, PhD, Assistant at the Department of Nervous Diseases. The Academic Council approved the scholarship recipients’ reports.
Another item on the agenda concerned the election of the Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council of Poltava State Medical University for the next five years. Following an open vote, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, was elected to this position.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Igor Kaidashev, emphasized the need for department heads to intensify publication activities and strengthen attention to academic integrity in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies.
