Teaching and Clinical Practice

Dr. Alla Marchenko holds the position of Associate Professor (currently holding the
position of Professor) at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, Poltava State Medical
University (PSMU). She is involved in the training of dental students and interns, and
conducts clinical consultations and treatment at the department's clinical base — the
Municipal Institution "Poltava Regional Center of Dentistry – Dental Clinical Outpatient
Clinic" of the Poltava Regional Council.

She holds the highest qualification category as a therapeutic dentist.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Marchenko has authored more than 250 publications
in national and international peer-reviewed journals. Her scientific output includes articles
indexed in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, conference
abstracts, monographs, and educational-methodological manuals.

With her involvement, 10 internship, specialization, and advanced training programs in
“Dentistry” and “Therapeutic Dentistry” were developed and approved by the Ministry of
Health of Ukraine.

Dr. Marchenko is the author of 168 scientific publications in national and international
professional journals, including 2 monographs, 8 patents, 22 certificates of authorship, 13
innovations, and 2 informational bulletins.

She has over 300 citations on Google Scholar and is ranked among the leading researchers
of PSMU by Scopus h-index. Alla Marchenko actively participates in international and
national scientific forums, dental and morphological conferences, presenting research
findings. She also supervises research projects of students, interns, and young researchers,
contributing to the development of the next generation of professionals.

• 2022 – Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for significant contributions to the training of qualified medical personnel and for outstanding professionalism in the field of healthcare.
• Multiple acknowledgments and honorary awards from Poltava State Medical University – repeatedly recognized with commendations from the University Rectorate, as well as from municipal and regional state administrations, for achievements in educational, methodological, and scientific work over the years.

  UDA.
• Poltava Regional Branch of the Dental Association: Member of the Board of the

  Poltava region.

  Pharmacists: Authorized representative of the Poltava regional branch since 2020.
• Committee on Ethics and Academic Integrity, PSMU: Member of the university
