Background
Vyacheslav Zhdan is a distinguished Ukrainian physician, researcher, and academic leader, serving as Rector of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) and Professor at the Department of Family Medicine and Therapy. With a career spanning over three decades, he has made significant contributions to family medicine, internal medicine, and rheumatology. He previously served as Rector of the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy (UMSA) from 2003 to 2021, before its integration into PSMU.
