20 лютого 2014 року в центрі Києва відбулися найтрагічніші події Революції Гідності — цього дня загинула найбільша кількість протестувальників, які вийшли на захист демократичних цінностей, прав людини та європейського майбутнього України. Указом Президента України від 11 лютого 2015 року 20 лютого встановлено Днем Героїв Небесної Сотні – днем пам’яті про їхній подвиг.
Вибір стати на захист Свободи став точкою неповернення і водночас — точкою нового відліку для країни. І сьогодні, коли боротьба триває, пам’ять про Героїв Небесної Сотні – це не лише про минуле, а й про відповідальність, яку ми несемо тепер.
Полтавський державний медичний університет вшановує Героїв Небесної Сотні. Пам’ятаємо тих, хто змінив хід історії, і щодня працюємо заради країни, за яку вони стояли.

February 20 – Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes
On February 20, 2014, the most tragic events of the Revolution of Dignity took place in the center of Kyiv — on that day, the largest number of protesters were killed as they stood in defense of democratic values, human rights, and Ukraine’s European future. By the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 11, 2015, February 20 was established as the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes — a day of remembrance of their feat.
The choice to stand up in defense of Freedom became a point of no return and, at the same time, a new starting point for the country. And today, as the struggle continues, the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes is not only about the past, but also about the responsibility we bear now.
Poltava State Medical University honors the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. We remember those who changed the course of history and work every day for the country for which they stood.
