Join the 2026 Global Dignity Day: Promoting the Values of Respect and Humanity
On 21 November, Ukraine marks the Day of Dignity and Freedom and traditionally joins the international educational initiative Global Dignity Day, which aims to promote the values of dignity, respect and humanity among children and young people.
In 2026, the initiative's activities will run from 21 November to 10 December. They are designed to foster respect-based leadership, support global dialogue on dignity, and encourage young people to reflect on its meaning and importance.
An updated version of the Global Dignity Day lesson has been developed to support the initiative. It is adapted for in-person, online and hybrid formats and is accompanied by a comprehensive set of educational resources, including an introductory webinar, a guide for working with school students, practical examples, exercises and detailed instructions.
The initiative is implemented with the support of the NGO EdCamp Ukraine, in cooperation with the German Federal Government under the Civil Peace Service Ukraine (GIZ ZFD) program, and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and public institutions in the field of education.
Registration is open until 12:00 noon on 12 November 2026. Registration is required to receive an invitation to the orientation webinar, where participants will be introduced to the project and have the opportunity to ask questions.
The orientation webinar will take place on 12 November 2026, from 16:00 to 20:00, and will be streamed live on YouTube. A recording of the event will also be available.
