Впродовж останніх двох тижнів на кафедрі внутрішньої медицини №2 ПДМУ вирували пристрасті: здобувачі освіти, які навчаються на кафедрі, у інтелектуальному поєдинку виборювали призові місця на І етапі Всеукраїнської олімпіади.
На старті учасники змагались із навчальної дисципліни «Професійні хвороби». Проведення конкурсу засвідчило, що майбутні лікарі здатні не лише успішно лікувати, а й запобігати розвитку професійних захворювань працюючого населення.
Найбільш ґрунтовні знання продемонстрували та зайняли призові місця:
Ярослава Васюта – 1 місце
В’ячеслав Михайленко – 2 місце
Поліна Ширай – 3 місце
Олімпіада з професійних хвороб акцентувала увагу на зв’язку патології з умовами праці та ранній діагностиці захворювань. Серед іноземних здобувачів освіти призові місця посіли: Muhammad Hammad, Amal Khalluafi та Shah Zaryan.
На олімпіаді з внутрішньої медицини змагались здобувачі, що навчаються на кафедрах внутрішньої медицини №1 і №2. Вони демонстрували не лише знання, а й аналітичне мислення, уміння формувати діагноз та обґрунтовувати тактику ведення пацієнта. Олімпіада перевірила клінічне мислення та здатність працювати зі складними кейсами.
Переможцями олімпіади з внутрішньої медицини стали:
Олександра Патраш – 1 місце
Ярослава Васюта – 2 місце
Єгор Рибальченко та Нікіта Товстопят – 3 місце
Серед іноземних здобувачів освіти призові місця отримали: Шарма Дінеш (1 місце), Джаші Раві Кант (2 місце) та Амал Халуфі (3 місце).
Заключним акордом став І етап Всеукраїнської студентської олімпіади з клінічної фармакології, який дав змогу оцінити знання механізмів дії препаратів та принципів доказової медицини. За результатами конкурсу журі визнало переможцями:
В’ячеслав Михайленко – 1 місце
Олександра Вахненко – 2 місце
Дмитро Горобець – 3 місце
Серед іноземних здобувачів освіти переможцями стали: Moussa Attaibi, Shah Zaryan та Muhammad Hammad (відповідно з 1 по 3 місце).
Переможених на олімпіаді не було, оскільки всі учасники демонстрували високий рівень теоретичної та практичної підготовки. А переможці були нагороджені дипломами та цінними подарунками – навчальними посібниками, підготовленими співробітниками кафедр.
Проведення олімпіад ще раз переконливо засвідчило цілісність внутрішньої медицини: від розуміння патогенезу та правильного фармакологічного рішення до врахування впливу професійного середовища.

Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 at PSMU Announces Winners of the First Stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiads
Over the past two weeks, the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 at Poltava State Medical University has been the venue for intense intellectual competition, as students competed for top places in the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad.
The competition began with the discipline “Occupational Diseases.” The event demonstrated that future physicians are capable not only of effective treatment but also of preventing the development of occupational illnesses among the working population.
The prize winners were:
Yaroslava Vasiuta – 1st place
Viacheslav Mykhailenko – 2nd place
Polina Shyrai – 3rd place
The Olympiad in Occupational Diseases emphasized the relationship between pathology and working conditions, as well as the importance of early diagnosis. Among international students, the winners were Muhammad Hammad, Amal Khalluafi, and Shah Zaryan.
The Olympiad in Internal Medicine brought together students from the Departments of Internal Medicine No. 1 and No. 2. Participants demonstrated not only strong theoretical knowledge but also analytical thinking, the ability to formulate diagnoses, and to justify patient management strategies. The competition assessed clinical reasoning and the ability to work with complex cases.

Yehor Rybalchenko and Nikita Tovstopiat – 3rd place
Among international students, the prize winners were:

The final stage featured the first round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Clinical Pharmacology, which assessed knowledge of drug mechanisms of action and the principles of evidence-based medicine. The jury recognized the following winners:
Viacheslav Mykhailenko – 1st place
Oleksandra Vakhnenko – 2nd place
Dmytro Horobets – 3rd place
Among international students, the winners were Moussa Attaibi, Shah Zaryan, and Muhammad Hammad (1st to 3rd place, respectively).
There were no true “losers” in the Olympiads, as all participants demonstrated a high level of theoretical and practical training. The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes — educational manuals prepared by the department staff.
The Olympiads once again convincingly demonstrated the integrity and continuity of internal medicine: from understanding pathogenesis and making sound pharmacological decisions to considering the impact of occupational environments.
