На кафедрі українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки ПДМУ здобувачі вищої медичної освіти за ОПП «Медицина» розпочали вивчення вибіркового компонента «Українознавство», покликаного посилити роль українознавства як окремої галузі знань і сприяти розвитку освітнього дискурсу в умовах сучасних викликів. Провідна мета курсу — сформувати в майбутніх українських лікарів основи національно-державницького світогляду та розвивати почуття українського патріотизму.
На першому занятті нового семестру, 19 лютого, у День Державного Герба України, студенти поринули в українознавчу атмосферу та обговорили актуальні питання формування української нації і ментальної ідентичності. Вони переглянули відеолекцію «Як Тризуб став гербом України» українського історика, директора Українського інституту національної пам’яті Олександра Алфьорова.
Державні символи – невід’ємна частина суверенної України. Шанобливе ставлення до них, гордість за країну та патріотичні почуття допомагають формувати національну свідомість молоді. Прапор, герб, гімн, мова та державні кордони сьогодні не просто формальність – це реальні маркери української ідентичності. Такі заняття допомагають студентам краще усвідомлювати значення державних символів та їхню роль у житті країни.

Lecture “The Tryzub: History of the State Emblem” at PSMU
At the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities of PSMU, higher medical education students enrolled in the Educational and Professional Program “Medicine” began studying the elective component “Ukrainian Studies,” designed to strengthen the role of Ukrainian studies as an independent field of knowledge and to promote the development of educational discourse in the face of contemporary challenges. The main goal of the course is to shape in future Ukrainian doctors the foundations of a national state-oriented worldview and to foster a sense of Ukrainian patriotism.
At the first class of the new semester, on February 19 — the Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine — students immersed themselves in an atmosphere of Ukrainian studies and discussed topical issues related to the formation of the Ukrainian nation and mental identity. They watched the video lecture “How the Tryzub Became the Coat of Arms of Ukraine” by Ukrainian historian, Director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Oleksandr Alforov.
State symbols are an integral part of sovereign Ukraine. Respect for them, pride in the country, and patriotic feelings help shape the national consciousness of young people. Today, the flag, the coat of arms, the anthem, the language, and the state borders are not merely formalities — they are real markers of Ukrainian identity. Such classes help students better understand the significance of state symbols and their role in the life of the country.
