В ПДМУ завершила навчання перша група здобувачів вищої освіти освітньої програми «Медицина», які опанували вибіркову компоненту «Пластична та реконструктивна хірургія». Ця ініціатива стала результатом плідної співпраці та мультидисциплінарного підходу до освітнього процесу двох кафедр університету: хірургічної стоматології та щелепно-лицевої хірургії, а також хірургії № 3.
Навчання відбувалося на базі двох ключових медичних закладів регіону: хірургічного відділення КП "1-а Міська клінічна лікарня ПМР" та відділення щелепно-лицевої хірургії КП "Полтавська обласна клінічна лікарня імені М.В. Скліфосовського ПОР". Під час курсу студенти опанували основи пластичної хірургії, методи корекції контурів тіла та питання комбустіології. Вони вчилися накладати косметичні шви, робити передопераційну розмітку та самостійно планувати етапи хірургічних втручань. Висока зацікавленість та активна участь студентів сприяли жвавим дискусіям на кожному занятті.
Викладачі обох кафедр відзначають успіх першої групи та з нетерпінням чекають на нових активних поглибити знання у цій важливій галузі й тим самим продовжують удосконалювати вибіркову компоненту, базуючись на отриманому досвіді.

Multidisciplinary Elective Component: Educational Process and Experience
At PSMU, the first group of higher education students of the Medicine program has completed their studies in the elective component Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This initiative was the result of fruitful cooperation and a multidisciplinary approach to the educational process of two university departments: the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Department of Surgery No. 3.
The training took place at two key medical institutions of the region: the surgical department of the 1st City Clinical Hospital of Poltava City Council and the maxillofacial surgery department of the M.V. Sklifosovsky Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital. During the course, students mastered the basics of plastic surgery, body contour correction techniques, and issues of combustiology. They learned to apply cosmetic sutures, perform preoperative marking, and independently plan the stages of surgical interventions. The high interest and active participation of students fostered lively discussions in every class.
The faculty of both departments highlight the success of the first group and eagerly look forward to welcoming new motivated students ready to deepen their knowledge in this important field. At the same time, they continue to improve the elective component based on the experience gained.
