Хвороба Паркінсона – це не лише медичний діагноз, а складний виклик, що потребує глибоких знань, розуміння та емпатії. Оскільки це захворювання пов’язане з дегенеративними процесами в центральній нервовій системі, надзвичайно важливо, щоб майбутні лікарі опановували механізми його розвитку ще під час навчання.
Напередодні Всесвітнього дня боротьби з хворобою Паркінсона, який відзначається 11 квітня, за ініціативи завідувача кафедри анатомії людини, професора Володимира Гриня, доценти кафедри Валентина Білаш, Наталія Свінцицька, а також викладачі Ігор Федорченко та Андрій Каценко провели навчально-виховний захід для студентів стоматологічного факультету.
Символічно, що захід відбувся саме в період вивчення студентами розділу «Нервова система». Учасники обговорили ключові аспекти хвороби Паркінсона: ураження структур головного мозку, зокрема чорної субстанції, причини виникнення тремору, м’язової ригідності та порушення координації рухів, а також роль лікаря будь-якого профілю, зокрема стоматолога, у ранньому виявленні неврологічних розладів.
Захід став прикладом того, як навчання сприяє не лише засвоєнню теоретичних знань, а й формуванню клінічного мислення та усвідомленню соціальної значущості майбутньої професії.

Event Dedicated to World Parkinson’s Disease Day Held at the Department of Human Anatomy
Parkinson’s disease is not only a medical diagnosis but also a complex challenge that requires deep knowledge, understanding, and empathy. Since this condition is associated with degenerative processes in the central nervous system, it is extremely important for future doctors to master the mechanisms of its development during their studies.
On the eve of World Parkinson’s Disease Day, observed annually on April 11, an educational event for students of the Faculty of Dentistry was organized at the initiative of the Head of the Department of Human Anatomy, Professor Volodymyr Hryn. Associate Professors Valentyna Bilash and Nataliia Svintsytska, along with lecturers Ihor Fedorchenko and Andrii Katsenko, took part in conducting the event.
It was symbolic that the event took place during the students’ study of the “Nervous System” module. Participants discussed key aspects of Parkinson’s disease, including damage to brain structures—particularly the substantia nigra—the causes of tremor, muscle rigidity, and impaired motor coordination, as well as the role of physicians of all specialties, including dentists, in the early detection of neurological disorders.
The event demonstrated how education contributes not only to acquiring theoretical knowledge but also to developing clinical thinking and understanding the social significance of the future profession.
