Викладачка кафедри гігієни та екології ПДМУ Тетяна Коваленко протягом березня, який традиційно присвячений подоланню туберкульозу – одного з найпоширеніших інфекційних захворювань у світі, проводила виховні заходи зі студентами 12-ї групи 2 курсу медичного факультету №1.
Метою заходів було підвищення обізнаності здобувачів освіти щодо цього інфекційного захворювання та наголошення на його виліковності.
Під час зустрічей викладачка акцентувала увагу на важливості профілактики, алгоритмах виявлення туберкульозу, своєчасній діагностиці та лікуванні.
Також було розглянуто реальні факти про туберкульоз, розвінчано поширені міфи та хибні уявлення про хворобу. Зокрема наголошувалося, що соціальний статус не захищає від туберкульозу – захворіти може кожен.
Для закріплення знань куратор запропонувала здобувачам освіти пройти онлайн-курс на платформі дистанційного навчання Центру громадського здоров’я МОЗ України: «Профілактика поширення туберкульозу: інфекційна профілактика та інфекційний контроль».
Студенти успішно опанували матеріали курсу, про що свідчать отримані сертифікати.
Гасло 2026 року: «Так! Ми можемо подолати туберкульоз. Лідерство – за державою, сила – в громадах».
Наголошується, що туберкульоз є виліковним захворюванням, а успіх лікування залежить від своєчасного виявлення, початку ефективної терапії, яка є безоплатною за Програмою медичних гарантій, а також дисципліни пацієнта у дотриманні всіх рекомендацій лікаря та регулярному прийомі ліків.

Tuberculosis Prevention Activities Held at the Department of Hygiene and Ecology of PSMU
During March—traditionally dedicated to combating tuberculosis, one of the most widespread infectious diseases in the world—Tetiana Kovalenko, a lecturer at the Department of Hygiene and Ecology of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU), conducted educational activities with second-year students (Group 12) of Medical Faculty No. 1.
The aim of these activities was to raise students’ awareness of this infectious disease and to emphasize that tuberculosis is curable.
During the meetings, the lecturer focused on the importance of prevention, algorithms for detecting tuberculosis, timely diagnosis, and effective treatment.
Participants also reviewed real facts about tuberculosis, while common myths and misconceptions about the disease were dispelled. In particular, it was emphasized that social status does not protect against tuberculosis—anyone can become infected.
To reinforce their knowledge, the curator encouraged students to complete an online course on the distance learning platform of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine: “Prevention of Tuberculosis Spread: Infection Prevention and Infection Control.”
The students successfully completed the course, as evidenced by the certificates they received.
The 2026 slogan is: “Yes! We can overcome tuberculosis. Leadership lies with the state, strength is in communities.”
It is emphasized that tuberculosis is a curable disease, and successful treatment depends on early detection, timely initiation of effective therapy—which is provided free of charge under the Medical Guarantees Program—as well as patients’ adherence to medical recommendations and regular medication intake.
