12 березня – день пам’яті видатної вченої у галузі фізіології та патофізіології екстремальних станів, доктора медичних наук, професора, дійсного члена Нью-Йоркської академії наук, відмінника охорони здоров’я та вищої школи України Лідії Мусіївни Тарасенко.
Багаторічна науково-педагогічна діяльність Лідії Мусіївни була пов’язана з Полтавським медичним стоматологічним інститутом (нині – ПДМУ), де вона працювала професором кафедри патологічної фізіології, а згодом очолювала кафедру біологічної хімії, сформувавши потужну наукову школу.
У відео йдеться про неї та її наукову спадщину – школу, що стала осередком формування молодих дослідників і розвитку медичної науки. Спогадами про наставницю діляться доктор медичних наук, професор, завідувач кафедри біологічної та біоорганічної хімії ПДМУ Каріне Непорада та ректор ПДМУ, професор Вячеслав Ждан.

The Scientific School of PSMU Professor Lidiia Tarasenko: Continuity and Strength of Traditions
March 12 marks the day of remembrance of Lidiia Musiivna Tarasenko, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Full Member of the New York Academy of Sciences, and Honored Worker of Healthcare and Higher Education of Ukraine, and an outstanding scientist in the field of physiology and pathophysiology of extreme conditions.
For many years, Lidiia Musiivna’s scientific and pedagogical activity was closely associated with the Poltava Medical Dental Institute (now PSMU), where she worked as a professor of the Department of Pathological Physiology and later headed the Department of Biological Chemistry, establishing a strong and influential scientific school.
The video tells the story of her life and scientific legacy — a school that became a center for nurturing young researchers and advancing medical science. Memories of their mentor are shared by Professor Karine Neporada, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Biological and Bioorganic Chemistry of PSMU; and the Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan.
This is a story of knowledge, dedication, and traditions that continue to live on in new generations of scientists at PSMU.
