7 грудня 2025 року на базі Полтавського державного медичного університету за організаційної підтримки Полтавського територіального відділення МАН відбувся ІІ (обласний) етап Всеукраїнської учнівської олімпіади з біології. На захід з’їхалося понад 100 учнів 8–11 класів із усієї Полтавщини, що за результатами попереднього (міського чи районного) етапу були визнані кращими знавцями науки про життя. Велике представництво на цьому заході мали і педагогічні працівники – вчителі біології середніх шкіл області та викладачі біологічних дисциплін різних вищих навчальних закладів м. Полтави, які супроводжували вихованців або брали участь у роботі журі.
Робота оргкомітету олімпіади та журі розгорнулася в аудиторіях кафедри біології. До складу оргкомітету увійшли викладачі і співробітники Полтавського державного медичного університету: доцент кафедри біології Костянтин Шевченко, викладач підготовчого відділення Вікторія Ширкевич, викладач фахового медико-фармацевтичного коледжу Анатолій Солод, старший лаборант кафедри біології Тетяна Хілінська. Доцентка кафедри біології Олена Клепець взяла участь у роботі журі з перевірки учнівських робіт.
За результатами злагодженої роботи всіх задіяних у проведенні заходу фахівців було визначено переможців олімпіади, які надалі гідно представлятимуть свій регіон на республіканському етапі. Багато юних знавців біології зацікавилося перспективами подальшого навчання у нашому закладі, який надав комфортні та безпечні умови для проведення олімпіади.

PDMU became the venue for the regional school biology Olympiad
On December 7, 2025, the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Biology Olympiad was held at the Poltava State Medical University with the organizational support of the Poltava territorial branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences. The event was attended by more than 100 students of 8–11 classes from all over the Poltava region, who, according to the results of the previous (city or district) stage, were recognized as the best experts in life sciences. The event was also well-represented by teaching staff – biology teachers from secondary schools in the region and teachers of biological disciplines from various higher educational institutions in Poltava, who accompanied the students or participated in the work of the jury.
The work of the organizing committee of the Olympiad and the jury took place in the classrooms of the Department of Biology. The organizing committee included teachers and staff of Poltava State Medical University: Associate Professor of the Department of Biology Konstantin Shevchenko, teacher of the preparatory department Viktoriya Shyrkevych, teacher of the professional medical and pharmaceutical college Anatoliy Solod, senior laboratory assistant of the Department of Biology Tetyana Khilinska. Associate Professor of the Department of Biology Olena Klepets took part in the work of the jury for checking student works.
As a result of the coordinated work of all specialists involved in the event, the winners of the Olympiad were determined, who will continue to represent their region at the republican stage. Many young experts in biology were interested in the prospects of further study at our University, which provided comfortable and safe conditions for holding the Olympiad.
