Пам’яті нашої дорогої колеги та наставниці Галини Анатоліївни Єрошенко.
12 січня 2026 року передчасно обірвався земний шлях завідувачки кафедри біології Полтавського державного медичного університету, доктора медичних наук, професора, завідувачки Міжкафедральної науково-дослідно-навчальної морфологічної лабораторії ПДМУ, відповідального редактора наукового журналу «Світ медицини та біології», членкині Наукового товариства анатомів, гістологів, ембріологів та топографоанатомів України, академіка Міжнародної Академії Інтегративної Антропології, а передусім – світлої та чуйної людини – Галини Анатоліївни Єрошенко.
Церемонія прощання з Галиною Єрошенко відбудеться 15 січня 2026 року об 11:00 у храмі Віри, Надії, Любові (проспект Віталія Грицаєнка, 23-А).
Галина Анатоліївна народилася 24 лютого 1965 року у м. Павлодар Казахської РСР, за місцем роботи батьків. Повернувшись до Полтави та завершивши середню школу, все своє життя вона присвятила alma mater – Полтавському медичному стоматологічному інституту, куди вступила на медичний факультет у 1982 році. Після закінчення інституту за спеціальністю «лікувальна справа» з 1988 по 1993 рік навчалася в аспірантурі на кафедрі гістології, цитології та ембріології. У 1993 році захистила дисертацію на здобуття наукового ступеня кандидата медичних наук на тему: «Структурна перебудова під’язикових залоз при частковому та тотальному видаленні підщелепних та підвушних залоз у щурів».
З 1993 по 2006 рік працювала асистентом кафедри загальної гігієни та екології. У 2005 році була обрана за конкурсом на посаду доцента кафедри гістології, цитології та ембріології, а в 2006 році отримала вчене звання доцента. У цей період Галина Анатоліївна сформувалася як досвідчений викладач та відмінний організатор навчального процесу. На посаді доцента, а згодом і професора кафедри гістології, цитології та ембріології, нею були розроблені повні курси лекцій для студентів медичного та стоматологічного факультетів, а для проведення практичних занять – ілюстровані ситуаційні задачі та тестові завдання для комп’ютерного навчання за чотирма рівнями засвоєння знань.
Спільно зі співробітниками кафедри вона взяла участь у створенні загальнонаціональних підручників «Гістологія, цитологія та ембріологія» (2018 рік – для медичного факультету та 2020 рік – для стоматологічного). На вимогу часу Галина Анатоліївна долучилася до розробки англомовного освітнього контенту та проведення занять для іноземних здобувачів, а згодом отримала підтвердження про володіння англійською мовою на рівні В2.
У 2010 році захистила дисертацію на здобуття наукового ступеня доктора медичних наук на тему: «Структурна організація великих слинних залоз за умов стимуляції симпатичного та парасимпатичного відділів вегетативної нервової системи». У 2012 році отримала вчене звання професора.
У 2016 році за сприяння адміністрації тодішньої Української медичної стоматологічної академії Галина Анатоліївна організувала Міжкафедральну науково-дослідно-навчальну морфологічну лабораторію, яка забезпечує морфологічні дослідження на теоретичних і клінічних кафедрах. Лаборантами працюють студенти старших курсів та лікарі-інтерни, які впевнено поповнюють лави молодих науковців країни.
У грудні 2020 року Галина Анатоліївна прийняла завідування кафедрою біології ПДМУ. На цьому етапі життя вона доклала багато зусиль до удосконалення навчально-методичної та матеріально-технічної бази кафедри. Завдяки її зусиллям було впроваджено комп’ютерні програми для опанування та контролю практичних навичок студентів.
У непрості часи з важкими викликами для системи освіти та країни в цілому (пандемія COVID-19, війна) вона не лише згуртувала колектив кафедри, але й вивела його на новий науковий рівень, сприяла розкриттю професійного потенціалу молодих викладачів.
У цей період вона обґрунтувала та очолила роботу з виконання кафедральної науково-дослідної теми: «Структурна перебудова органів імунної, дихальної та видільної систем під впливом різних екзогенних чинників (глутамату натрію, нітриту натрію, етанолу, метакрилату)».
Із 2021 року за ініціативи професора Галини Єрошенко на кафедрі біології ПДМУ започатковано науково-практичну інтернет-конференцію з міжнародною участю «Сучасні проблеми вивчення медико-екологічних аспектів здоров’я людини», внесену до Реєстру МОЗ України, яка щорічно збирає однодумців з України, Азербайджану, Грузії, Литви, Марокко та інших країн світу.
За активного сприяння Галини Анатоліївни у ПДМУ було відкрито нову освітньо-професійну програму «Біологія» бакалаврського (2022 рік) та магістерського (2023 рік) рівнів. Гарантом магістерської програми стала сама професор Єрошенко.
Вона приділяла значну увагу вихованню обдарованої молоді. За роки викладацької роботи підготувала десятки переможців предметних олімпіад та дипломантів студентських наукових конференцій, брала участь у журі та оргкомітетах наукових конкурсів і олімпіад. Протягом більш ніж десяти років була головою журі II етапу Всеукраїнського конкурсу-захисту науково-дослідницьких робіт учнів-членів Полтавського територіального відділення МАН України по секції «Медицина».
Як справжній сподвижник науки, професор Єрошенко активно готувала наукові кадри. Під її керівництвом захищено одну докторську та шість кандидатських дисертацій, а також чотири дисертації на здобуття наукового ступеня доктора філософії. Лише за останні п’ять років вона шість разів брала участь у процедурах захисту дисертацій: двічі як офіційний опонент та чотири рази – як рецензент. Була членом спеціалізованої вченої ради Д 20.601.02 при Івано-Франківському національному медичному університеті МОЗ України по захисту докторських дисертацій, а також членом експертної групи з оцінювання ефективності діяльності закладів вищої освіти за науковим напрямом «Біологія та охорона здоров’я».
Протягом багатьох років Галина Анатоліївна була незмінним відповідальним секретарем наукового журналу «Світ медицини та біології», що індексується у наукометричній базі Web of Science.
Вагомі підсумки наукової та педагогічної діяльності Галини Анатоліївни засвідчують опубліковані нею та у співавторстві близько 800 наукових та навчально-методичних праць, серед яких 2 підручники, 112 навчальних та навчально-методичних посібників, 12 монографій та 44 документи на право інтелектуальної власності.
Неможливо виміряти горе близьких, які втратили вірну та люблячу доньку, сестру, дружину, матір, бабусю. Важко повірити у непоправну втрату доброї, щирої, інтелігентної колеги і наставниці.
Галина Анатоліївна Єрошенко навіки увійшла в історію ПДМУ як справжній Вчитель, самовідданий Науковець та мудрий Керівник. Відійшовши у вічність, вона залишила по собі світлу пам’ять і гідний приклад у свідомості людей, з якими працювала та яких навчала.

PSMU in Mourning: Professor Halyna Yeroshenko Has Passed Away Prematurely
In memory of our dear colleague and mentor, Halyna Anatoliivna Yeroshenko.
On January 12, 2026, the earthly journey of Halyna Anatoliivna Yeroshenko came to an untimely end. She was the Head of the Department of Biology at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU), Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Interdepartmental Research and Educational Morphological Laboratory of PSMU, Executive Editor of the scientific journal World of Medicine and Biology, a member of the Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists, Embryologists and Topographic Anatomists of Ukraine, an Academician of the International Academy of Integrative Anthropology, and above all—a kind, empathetic, and bright personality.
Halyna Anatoliivna was born on February 24, 1965, in the city of Pavlodar, Kazakh SSR, where her parents were working at the time. After returning to Poltava and completing secondary school, she devoted her entire life to her alma mater—the Poltava Medical Stomatological Institute—entering the Medical Faculty in 1982. After graduating with a degree in General Medicine, she pursued postgraduate studies from 1988 to 1993 at the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology. In 1993, she defended her PhD dissertation entitled “Structural Reorganization of the Sublingual Glands after Partial and Total Removal of the Submandibular and Parotid Glands in Rats.”
From 1993 to 2006, she worked as an assistant at the Department of General Hygiene and Ecology. In 2005, she was competitively appointed Associate Professor at the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology, and in 2006 she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. During this period, Halyna Anatoliivna established herself as an experienced lecturer and an excellent organizer of the educational process. As Associate Professor and later Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology, she developed comprehensive lecture courses for students of the medical and dental faculties, as well as illustrated case studies and computer-based test tasks for practical classes across four levels of knowledge acquisition.
Together with her colleagues, she contributed to the creation of national textbooks Histology, Cytology and Embryology (2018 for medical students and 2020 for dental students). Responding to the demands of the time, Halyna Anatoliivna was actively involved in developing English-language educational content and teaching international students, later receiving confirmation of English proficiency at the B2 level.
In 2010, she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Structural Organization of the Major Salivary Glands under Stimulation of the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Divisions of the Autonomic Nervous System.” In 2012, she was awarded the academic title of Professor.
In 2016, with the support of the administration of Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy, Halyna Anatoliivna established the Interdepartmental Research and Educational Morphological Laboratory, which provides morphological research support to both theoretical and clinical departments. The laboratory employs senior students and medical interns who confidently join the ranks of the country’s young scientists.
In December 2020, Halyna Anatoliivna assumed the position of Head of the Department of Biology at PSMU. At this stage of her life, she made significant efforts to improve the department’s educational, methodological, and material-technical base. Thanks to her initiatives, computer-based programs for mastering and assessing students’ practical skills were implemented.
During challenging times for both the education system and the country as a whole—the COVID-19 pandemic and the war—she not only united the department’s staff but also elevated it to a new scientific level, fostering the professional growth of young lecturers.
During this period, she substantiated and led the implementation of the departmental research project “Structural Reorganization of the Immune, Respiratory, and Excretory Systems under the Influence of Various Exogenous Factors (monosodium glutamate, sodium nitrite, ethanol, methacrylate).”
Since 2021, at the initiative of Professor Halyna Yeroshenko, the Department of Biology at PSMU has hosted an annual international scientific and practical online conference “Modern Problems in the Study of Medical and Environmental Aspects of Human Health,” included in the Register of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Each year, it brings together like-minded scholars from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Lithuania, Morocco, and other countries worldwide.
With the active support of Halyna Anatoliivna, PSMU launched a new educational and professional program “Biology” at the bachelor’s level (2022) and master’s level (2023). Professor Yeroshenko herself served as the guarantor of the master’s program.
She paid great attention to nurturing gifted youth. Over her teaching career, she prepared dozens of winners of academic Olympiads and awardees of student scientific conferences, served on juries and organizing committees of scientific competitions and Olympiads, and for more than ten years chaired the jury of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Competition for the Defense of Research Works by students-members of the Poltava Territorial Branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the “Medicine” section.
As a true devotee of science, Professor Yeroshenko actively trained scientific personnel. Under her supervision, one doctoral and six PhD dissertations were defended, as well as four dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. Over the past five years alone, she participated six times in dissertation defense procedures—twice as an official opponent and four times as a reviewer. She was a member of the Specialized Academic Council D 20.601.02 at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for doctoral dissertation defenses, and a member of the expert group evaluating the effectiveness of higher education institutions in the scientific field “Biology and Healthcare.”
For many years, Halyna Anatoliivna served as the permanent Executive Secretary of the scientific journal World of Medicine and Biology, indexed in the Web of Science scientometric database.
The significant achievements of Halyna Anatoliivna’s scientific and pedagogical career are evidenced by nearly 800 scientific and educational publications authored or co-authored by her, including 2 textbooks, 112 educational and teaching manuals, 12 monographs, and 44 intellectual property rights documents.
The grief of her loved ones—who lost a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother—is immeasurable. It is hard to believe in the irreparable loss of a kind, sincere, and intelligent colleague and mentor.
Halyna Anatoliivna Yeroshenko has forever entered the history of PSMU as a true Teacher, a dedicated Scientist, and a wise Leader. Having passed into eternity, she left behind a bright memory and a true example in the hearts and minds of all who worked with her and learned from her.
