12 червня 2026 року проректор закладу вищої освіти з навчальної роботи Полтавського державного медичного університету професор Давид Аветіков та завідувач кафедри пропедевтики хірургічної стоматології професор Вадим Новіков узяли участь у роботі науково-практичної конференції з міжнародною участю «Щелепно-лицева хірургія в реаліях війни», присвяченої 30-річчю Української асоціації черепно-щелепно-лицевих хірургів.
Науковий форум відбувся в лекційній залі Стоматологічного медичного центру Національного медичного університету імені О. О. Богомольця та об’єднав науковців і практикуючих лікарів для обговорення актуальних питань лікування та реабілітації пацієнтів із патологіями щелепно-лицевої ділянки в умовах воєнного стану.
Під час конференції президент Української асоціації черепно-щелепно-лицевих хірургів, член-кореспондент НАМН України, професор Владислав Маланчук представив історію становлення та розвитку Асоціації, а директор Навчально-наукового інституту стоматології професор Андрій Копчак окреслив перспективи її подальшої діяльності. Організацію наукового форуму забезпечила команда фахівців на чолі з професором Оленою Астапенко.
У межах заходу було сформовано новий склад правління Української асоціації черепно-щелепно-лицевих хірургів, до якого увійшов проректор ПДМУ професор Давид Аветіков.
Учасники конференції розглянули особливості надання медичної допомоги пораненим військовослужбовцям на різних етапах евакуації, обговорили клінічні випадки остеопластики при вогнепальних ураженнях щелеп, а також сучасні підходи до реконструктивно-відновної хірургії, дентальної імплантації, лікування захворювань скронево-нижньощелепного суглоба та пластичної хірургії голови і шиї.
Участь представників ПДМУ в роботі форуму та діяльності Української асоціації черепно-щелепно-лицевих хірургів сприяє розвитку професійної співпраці й утвердженню авторитету університету в медичній спільноті України.

PSMU Strengthens Cooperation with Professional Community of Maxillofacial Surgeons of Ukraine
On 12 June 2026, Professor Davyd Avetikov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Poltava State Medical University, and Professor Vadym Novikov, the Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Oral Surgery, took part in the scientific and practical conference with international participation “Maxillofacial Surgery in the Realities of War,” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Ukrainian Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons.
The scientific forum was held in the lecture hall of the Dental Medical Center of the BogomoletsNational Medical University and brought together researchers and practicing physicians to discuss pressing issues related to the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with maxillofacial pathology under martial law conditions.
During the conference, Professor Vladyslav Malanchuk, the President of the Ukrainian Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, presented the history of the establishment and development of the Association, while Professor Andrii Kopchak, the Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Dentistry, outlined prospects for its further activity. The organization of the scientific forum was ensured by a team of specialists led by Professor Olena Astapenko.
As part of the event, a new composition of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons was formed, which included PSMU Vice-Rector Professor Davyd Avetikov.
Conference participants discussed the specifics of providing medical care to wounded servicemen at various stages of evacuation, reviewed clinical cases of osteoplasty in gunshot jaw injuries, as well as modern approaches to reconstructive and restorative surgery, dental implantation, treatment of temporomandibular joint diseases, and plastic surgery of the head and neck.
The participation of PSMU representatives in the forum and in the activities of the Ukrainian Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons contributes to the development of professional cooperation and strengthens the university’s authority within the medical community of Ukraine.
