29 січня 2026 року на кафедрі громадського здоров’я, менеджменту та медичної експертизи ПДМУ відбувся захід до Дня вшанування Героїв Крут. Здобувачі освіти 6 курсу 1-ї групи медичного факультету № 2 разом із викладачем Аллою Подвін розмірковували над питанням: що спільного між студентом-медиком 2026 року та юнаком, який стояв під Крутами у 1918 році?
Під час обговорення учасники дійшли висновку, що спільним для обох поколінь є готовність служити своїй країні та брати на себе відповідальність за її майбутнє — невидима нитка, що єднає їх крізь понад століття. Якщо для юнаків 1918 року зброєю були гвинтівки, то для студентів-медиків такою зброєю є знання, клінічне мислення та відповідальність за життя людини.
Їхній бій був боротьбою за землю та незалежність. Місія майбутніх лікарів сьогодні – щоденна праця задля збереження здоров’я нації та відновлення країни.
Під час зустрічі також говорили про юнаків, які так само сиділи за студентськими партами, але в одну мить їхньою аудиторією стало поле бою, а іспитом – вірність власній державі. Було наголошено, що сучасне покоління продовжує цю боротьбу – кожен на своєму, життєво важливому фронті.
Пам’ять про Героїв Крут залишається важливою складовою національної історії та формування громадянської свідомості молоді.

A Generation That Unites: PSMU Students Honor the Heroism of the Heroes of Kruty
On January 29, 2026, the Department of Public Health, Management and Medical Expertise at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) held an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of Kruty. Sixth-year students of Group 1, Medical Faculty No. 2, together with lecturer Alla Podvin, reflected on a key question: what unites a medical student of 2026 with a young man who stood at Kruty in 1918?
During the discussion, participants concluded that both generations are united by a shared readiness to serve their country and take responsibility for its future—an invisible thread connecting them across more than a century. While the weapon of the young men in 1918 was the rifle, today’s medical students are armed with knowledge, clinical thinking, and responsibility for human life.
Their battle was a struggle for land and independence. The mission of future doctors today is daily work to preserve the nation’s health and contribute to the country’s recovery.
The meeting also recalled the young men who once sat at student desks, but in a single moment found themselves on the battlefield, with loyalty to their state as their ultimate test. It was emphasized that the modern generation continues this struggle—each on their own vital front.
The memory of the Heroes of Kruty remains an essential part of national history and the formation of civic consciousness among young people.
