19 лютого в Україні відзначається День Державного Герба. Цього дня у 1992 році Верховна Рада України затвердила тризуб як Малий Герб, визначивши його ключовим елементом майбутнього Великого Державного Герба.
Золотий Тризуб на синьому щиті має тисячолітню історію. У часи Київської Русі він був знаком князівського роду Рюриковичів, а в ХХ столітті став символом національної боротьби українців за незалежність.
Археологічні знахідки свідчать про використання тризуба з перших століть нашої ери. Існує понад тридцять теорій його походження – від зображення сокола до символу триєдності світу.
Тризуб є знаком спадкоємності української державності, єдності поколінь та незламного прагнення до свободи. Сьогодні він зображений на шевронах українських захисників та захисниць і залишається символом суверенітету та територіальної цілісності України.
Колектив Полтавського державного медичного університету на чолі з ректором Вячеславом Жданом віддає шану одному з найважливіших символів нашої держави – Малому Державному Гербу, який втілює історичну спадкоємність, національну гідність і незламну силу духу українського народу. Poltava State Medical University Marks the Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine
On February 19, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the State Emblem. On this day in 1992, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the Tryzub (Trident) as the Small State Emblem, defining it as the key element of the future Great State Emblem.
The golden Tryzub on a blue shield has a thousand-year history. During the era of Kyivan Rus, it was the symbol of the princely Rurik dynasty, and in the 20th century it became a symbol of the Ukrainian people’s national struggle for independence.
Archaeological findings indicate the use of the trident dating back to the first centuries of our era. There are more than thirty theories about its origin — from the image of a falcon to a symbol of the triune nature of the world.
The Tryzub is a sign of the continuity of Ukrainian statehood, the unity of generations, and the unbreakable aspiration for freedom. Today, it appears on the chevrons of Ukrainian defenders and remains a symbol of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The staff of Poltava State Medical University, headed by Rector Viacheslav Zhdan, pays tribute to one of the most important symbols of our state — the Small State Emblem, which embodies historical continuity, national dignity, and the indomitable spirit of the Ukrainian people. For us, it is not only a sign of statehood but also a reminder of responsibility, unity, and devotion to our country, inspiring our daily work and our commitment to the common good.
