Із 28 лютого по 1 березня 2026 року у Полтаві відбулися кульмінаційні події ІІ етапу Всеукраїнського конкурсу-захисту науково-дослідницьких робіт Полтавського територіального відділення МАН – постерний захист та наукова конференція, де учні 6–11 класів з усієї області могли представити результати своїх наукових пошуків. Вкотре через обставини воєнного стану діти долучалися до конкурсу онлайн. Для оцінювання досягнень юних науковців у провідних вищих навчальних закладах міста в рамках співпраці з Полтавською обласною МАН була організована робота журі у складі досвідчених фахівців за профілем наукових секцій.
Вже традиційно до складу журі конкурсу були запрошені й представники Полтавського державного медичного університету. Загалом 12 викладачів та співробітників із семи кафедр цьогоріч узяли участь у роботі 8 окремих та об’єднаних секцій:
- секція англійської мови та англомовної літератури – кандидат філологічних наук, доцент кафедри іноземних мов з латинською мовою та медичною термінологією Вікторія Костенко;
- секція фольклористики – кандидат педагогічних наук, викладач-методист української мови та літератури Фахового медико-фармацевтичного коледжу Алла Лисенко;
- секція психології – доктор філософії, доцент кафедри гістологїі, цитологіі та ембріологїі Олена Волошина (секретар);
- секція загальної та неорганічної хімії, органічної хімії та біохімії – кандидат біологічних наук, доцент кафедри біологічної та біоорганічної xiміi Марина Білець;
- секція медицини, біології людини – кандидат біологічних наук, доцент кафедри фізіології Валентина Соколенко (голова журі) та доктор філософії, доцент кафедри біології Костянтин Шевченко;
- секція зоології, ботаніки – кандидат біологічних наук, доцент кафедри біології Олена Клепець;
- секція загальної біології – кандидат біологічних наук, доцент кафедри біології Анжела Ваценко та старший лаборант Тетяна Хілінська (секретар);
- секція охорони здоров’я – доктор медичних наук, професор, завідувач кафедри громадського здоров’я, менеджменту та медичної експертизи Ірина Голованова (голова журі), кандидат педагогічних наук, викладач кафедри фізіології Наталія Шарлай та викладач кафедри громадського здоров’я, менеджменту та медичної експертизи Оксана Краснова (секретар).
Викладачі не лише виставляли бали, але й надавали цінні поради щодо організації досліджень, оформлення їх результатів та ведення наукової комунікації.
Крім цього, аудиторії кафедри біології стали осередком роботи деяких секцій: загальної біології (ауд. 211), медицини та біології людини (ауд. 214), охорони здоров’я (ауд. 208).
Робота з обдарованою учнівською молоддю є важливою складовою профорієнтаційної діяльності університету. Участь наших фахівців у подібних заходах допомагає виявляти майбутніх абітурієнтів, які вже сьогодні роблять перші кроки у велику науку.

PSMU Representatives Joined the Jury of the Second Stage of the All-Ukrainian Research Project Competition of the Junior Academy of Sciences
From February 28 to March 1, 2026, the culminating events of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian research project competition of the Poltava Territorial Department of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took place in Poltava. These included the poster defense and a scientific conference, where students of grades 6–11 from across the region presented the results of their research. Due to martial law, the participants once again joined the competition online.
To evaluate the achievements of the young researchers, jury panels composed of experienced subject-matter experts were organized at leading higher education institutions of the city as part of cooperation with the Poltava Regional Junior Academy of Sciences.
Traditionally, representatives of Poltava State Medical University were invited to serve on the jury. This year, a total of 12 lecturers and staff members from seven departments took part in the work of eight individual and joint sections:
Section of English Language and English-Language Literature – Associate Professor Viktoriia Kostenko, PhD in Philology, the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology;
Section of Folklore Studies – Alla Lysenko, PhD in Pedagogy, teacher-methodologist of Ukrainian Language and Literature at the Professional Medical and Pharmaceutical College;
Section of Psychology – Associate Professor Olena Voloshyna, PhD, the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology, Secretary;
Section of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry – Associate Professor Maryna Bilets, PhD in Biology, the Department of Biological and Bioorganic Chemistry;
Section of Medicine and Human Biology – Associate Professor Valentyna Sokolenko, PhD in Biology, the Department of Physiology, Head of the Jury, and Associate Professor Kostiantyn Shevchenko, PhD, the Department of Biology;
Section of Zoology and Botany – Associate Professor Olena Klepets, PhD in Biology, the Department of Biology;
Section of General Biology – Associate Professor Anzhela Vatsenko, PhD in Biology, the Department of Biology, and Senior Laboratory Assistant Tetiana Khilinska (Secretary);
Section of Public Health – Professor Iryna Holovanova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Public Health, Management and Medical Expertise, Head of the Jury; Nataliia Sharlai, PhD in Pedagogy, Lecturer of the Department of Physiology; and Oksana Krasnova, Lecturer of the Department of Public Health, Management and Medical Expertise, Secretary.
The lecturers not only evaluated the projects but also provided valuable recommendations on research organization, presentation of results, and scientific communication.
In addition, study rooms of the Department of Biology served as venues for several sections: General Biology (Room 211), Medicine and Human Biology (Room 214), and Public Health (Room 208).
Working with gifted school students is an important component of the university’s career guidance activities. The participation of our specialists in such events helps identify prospective applicants who are already taking their first steps into the world of science.
