Із 28 лютого по 1 березня 2026 року у Полтаві відбулися кульмінаційні події ІІ етапу Всеукраїнського конкурсу-захисту науково-дослідницьких робіт Полтавського територіального відділення МАН – постерний захист та наукова конференція. Учні 6–11 класів з усієї області мали змогу представити результати своїх наукових пошуків. Через воєнний стан деякі учасники долучалися до конкурсу онлайн.
У провідних вищих навчальних закладах міста, у рамках співпраці з Полтавською обласною МАН, була організована робота журі для оцінювання досягнень учнів за профілем наукових секцій.
Вже традиційно до складу журі конкурсу були запрошені представники кафедри біології Полтавського державного медичного університету:
Секція медицини та біології людини – доктор філософії, доцент Костянтин Шевченко
Секція загальної біології – кандидат біологічних наук, доцент Анжела Ваценко; старший лаборант Тетяна Хілінська (секретар)
Секція зоології та ботаніки – кандидат біологічних наук, доцент Олена Клепець
Викладачі не лише виставляли бали, а й надавали учасникам цінні поради щодо організації досліджень, оформлення результатів та ведення наукової комунікації.
Окрім цього, аудиторії кафедри біології стали осередком роботи окремих секцій:
Загальної біології – ауд. 211
Медицини та біології людини – ауд. 214
Охорони здоров’я – ауд. 208
Робота з обдарованою учнівською молоддю – важлива складова профорієнтаційної діяльності кафедри біології. Участь викладачів у таких заходах допомагає виявляти майбутніх абітурієнтів, які вже сьогодні роблять перші кроки у науку.

Representatives of the Department of Biology of Poltava State Medical University Took Part in the Second Stage of the All-Ukrainian Junior Academy of Sciences Competition
From February 28 to March 1, 2026, Poltava hosted the culminating events of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Competition-Defense of Research Projects organized by the Poltava Territorial Department of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – a poster defense session and a scientific conference. Students in grades 6–11 from across the region had the opportunity to present the results of their research. Due to martial law, some participants joined the competition online.
At the leading higher education institutions of the city, in cooperation with the Poltava Regional Department of the Junior Academy of Sciences, jury panels were organized to evaluate students’ achievements according to the profiles of the scientific sections.
Traditionally, representatives of the Department of Biology of Poltava State Medical University were invited to serve on the competition jury:
Section of Medicine and Human Biology –Associate Professor Kostiantyn Shevchenko,PhD
Section of General Biology –Associate Professor Anzhela Vatsenko, PhD in Biology; Senior Laboratory Assistant Tetiana Khilinska (Secretary)
Section of Zoology and Botany –Associate Professor Olena Klepets, PhD in Biology
The faculty members not only assessed the projects but also provided participants with valuable advice on organizing research, presenting results, and conducting scientific communication.
In addition, the classrooms of the Department of Biology served as venues for several sections:

Public Health – Room 208
Work with gifted school students is an important component of the Department of Biology’s career guidance activities. Participation of faculty members in such events helps identify prospective applicants who are already taking their first steps in science today.
