Представники Полтавського державного медичного університету долучилися до засідання «круглого столу» на тему «Реінтеграція ветеранів та покращення їх ментального здоров’я через фізичну активність». У заході взяли участь Віктор Лебедєв, голова ради ветеранів ПДМУ та фахівець із супроводу ветеранів війни й демобілізованих осіб КП «2-а Міська клінічна лікарня» Полтавської міської ради, а також Микола Рябушко, завідувач кафедри фізичної та реабілітаційної медицини ПДМУ.
Під час зустрічі обговорювали спорт як ефективний інструмент соціальної адаптації, психоемоційного відновлення та єднання ветеранів і членів їхніх родин. До обговорення долучилися представники органів влади, ветеранських організацій, спортивних клубів, громад, медичної спільноти, а також міжнародні партнери – представники Консультативної місії Європейського Союзу в Україні, які системно підтримують впровадження європейських підходів у сфері безпеки й соціальної згуртованості.
У практичній частині «круглого столу» учасники працювали над конкретними механізмами розвитку спортивних напрямків для ветеранів та членів їхніх родин, визначали успішні практики, окреслювали проблемні питання та шляхи їх вирішення, а також обговорювали залучення міжнародної підтримки й ефективне спрямування державних та обласних коштів.
Зустріч була організована Управлінням у справах реінтеграції, соціального захисту ветеранів і внутрішньо переміщених осіб Полтавської обласної військової адміністрації за участі представників Консультативної місії Європейського Союзу в Україні.

PSMU Representatives Participated in a Roundtable on Veterans’ Reintegration Through Sport
Representatives of Poltava State Medical University took part in a roundtable discussion titled “Reintegration of Veterans and Improvement of Their Mental Health Through Physical Activity.”
The event was attended by Viktor Lebediev, Head of the PSMU Veterans Council and Specialist for Supporting War Veterans and Demobilized Persons at the Municipal Enterprise “2nd City Clinical Hospital” of the Poltava City Council, as well as Mykola Riabushko, Head of the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at PSMU.
During the meeting, participants discussed sport as an effective tool for social adaptation, psycho-emotional recovery, and strengthening unity among veterans and their family members. The discussion involved representatives of government authorities, veteran organizations, sports clubs, communities, the medical community, and international partners — including representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine, who systematically support the implementation of European approaches in the fields of security and social cohesion.
In the practical part of the roundtable, participants worked on specific mechanisms for developing sports initiatives for veterans and their families, identified successful practices, outlined existing challenges and ways to address them, and discussed attracting international support as well as the effective allocation of state and regional funds.
The meeting was organized by the Department for Reintegration, Social Protection of Veterans and Internally Displaced Persons of the Poltava Regional Military Administration with the participation of representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine.
