2 травня 2026 року представники волонтерського загону «Єдність» Полтавського державного медичного університету долучилися до міжнародної екологічної ініціативи «1 мільйон дерев пам’яті та життя». Її мета – об’єднати українців у різних країнах світу навколо спільної дії пам’яті та вдячності, увічнення пам’яті загиблих, популяризації екологічного відновлення України, а також встановлення світового рекорду з наймасовішої висадки дерев.
Проєкт реалізується в межах глобальної екологічної ініціативи Greening of the Planet за підтримки благодійного фонду «Озеленення України», ГО «Світове Українство» та «Книги світових рекордів». До акції одночасно долучилися учасники з понад 30 країн світу.
У межах екологічного заходу представники волонтерського загону «Єдність» висадили декоративні та плодові рослини на території відділення реабілітації КП «2-га міська клінічна лікарня Полтавської міської ради». Серед них – смерека карпатська, півонія деревоподібна, лимонник китайський, кущі кампсису та дерева «райські яблучка». Висаджені рослини стали символом життя, відновлення та вдячної пам’яті.
Голова загону «Єдність» Ая Бустанжі подякувала адміністрації університету за підтримку. Окрему подяку висловлено проректору з науково-педагогічної та виховної роботи, професору Валерію Похильку, а також голові ради ветеранів ПДМУ Віктору Лєбєдєву за сприяння в організації заходу.
За участь у проєкті волонтерський загін «Єдність» ПДМУ отримав подяку від голови благодійного фонду «Озеленення України» Ганни Крисюк.
Захід став прикладом активної громадянської позиції та внеску молоді у збереження довкілля й національної пам’яті.

PSMU “Yednist” Volunteer Team Joins International “One Million Trees of Memory and Life” Initiative
On May 2, 2026, representatives of the “Yednist” volunteer team of Poltava State Medical University joined the international environmental initiative “One Million Trees of Memory and Life.” Its goal is to unite Ukrainians around the world through a shared act of remembrance and gratitude, to honor the fallen, promote Ukraine’s environmental restoration, and set a world record for the largest tree-planting campaign.
The project is implemented within the global environmental initiative Greening of the Planet with the support of the “Greening of Ukraine” charitable foundation, the NGO “World Ukrainians,” and the World Records Book. Participants from more than 30 countries joined the campaign simultaneously.
As part of the initiative, members of the “Yednist” volunteer team planted ornamental and fruit plants on the territory of the Rehabilitation Department of the Municipal Enterprise “Second City Clinical Hospital” of the Poltava City Council. These included Carpathian spruce, tree peony, Chinese magnolia vine, campsis shrubs, and crabapple trees. The planted greenery symbolizes life, renewal, and grateful remembrance.
The head of the “Yednist” team, Aya Bustanzhi, expressed gratitude to the university administration for their support. Special thanks were also extended to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Extracurricular Activities, Professor Valerii Pokhylko, and to the Head of the PSMU Veterans Council, Viktor Lebediev, for their assistance in organizing the event.
For participation in the project, the “Yednist” volunteer team received a letter of appreciation from Hanna Krysiuk, Head of the “Greening of Ukraine” charitable foundation.
The event became a vivid example of active civic engagement and the contribution of youth to environmental protection and the preservation of national memory.
