Наприкінці навчального року в Полтавському державному медичному університеті тривають захисти дисертаційних робіт здобувачів ступеня доктора філософії. Цього тижня на засіданнях разових спеціалізованих рад у галузі знань 22 «Охорона здоров’я» за спеціальністю 222 «Медицина» свої наукові здобутки презентували молоді науковці хірургічного та травматологічного спрямування.
21 травня 2026 року відбувся успішний захист дисертаційної роботи «Структурні та функціональні особливості етапів лікування внутрішньосуглобових переломів п’яткової кістки» аспіранта очної (денної) форми навчання кафедри хірургії №3 Полтавського державного медичного університету Георгія Годуадзе. Керівник роботи – кандидат медичних наук, доцент, доцент закладу вищої освіти кафедри хірургії №3 Полтавського державного медичного університету Олександр Пелипенко.
У роботі ради взяли участь провідні фахівці галузі травматології та хірургії.
Головою разової спеціалізованої вченої ради під час захисту виступив доктор медичних наук, професор Віталій Ляховський, професор закладу вищої освіти кафедри хірургії №1 Полтавського державного медичного університету.
До роботи ради в якості опонентів були запрошені висококваліфіковані спеціалісти: доктор медичних наук, професор Андрій Лябах, завідувач відділу патології стопи та складного протезування Державної установи «Інститут травматології та ортопедії НАМН України»; доктор медичних наук, професор Тарас Омельченко, професор кафедри травматології та ортопедії Національного медичного університету імені О. О.Богомольця.
Рецензенти даної роботи – досвідчені спеціалісти нашого університету: доктор медичних наук, професор Володимир Гринь, завідувач кафедри анатомії людини та доктор філософії Євгеній Чіп, асистент кафедри хірургії №3.
А вже 22 травня 2026 року свою дисертацію гідно представляв аспірант заочної форми навчання кафедри хірургії №1 Полтавського державного медичного університету Костянтин Прокопенко на тему «Оптимізація комплексного хірургічного лікування мінно-вибухових уражень у мирного населення». Науковий керівник – кандидат медичних наук, доцент, завідувач кафедри хірургії №1 Полтавського державного медичного університету Микола Кравців.
Головою разової спеціалізованої вченої ради під час цього засідання також був доктор медичних наук, професор Віталій Ляховський, професор закладу вищої освіти кафедри хірургії №1 Полтавського державного медичного університету.
Опонентами роботи виступили видатні фахівці-хірурги: доктор медичних наук, професор Валерій Бойко, завідувач кафедри хірургії №1 Харківського національного медичного університету, радник при дирекції наукової установи з наукової роботи ДУ «Інститут загальної та невідкладної хірургії ім. В. Т.Зайцева НАМН України», дійсний член (академік) НАМН України, Заслужений діяч науки і техніки України та доктор медичних наук, професор Сергій Завгородній, завідувач кафедри загальної хірургії та післядипломної хірургічної освіти Навчально-наукового інституту післядипломної освіти Запорізького державного медико-фармацевтичного університету МОЗ України, Заслужений лікар України.
Разом з ними у складі разової спеціалізованої вченої ради працювали офіційні рецензенти, науковці Полтавського державного медичного університету: доктор медичних наук, професор Руслан Лисенко, професор закладу вищої освіти кафедри хірургії №1 та кандидат медичних наук, доцент Іван Нємченко, доцент закладу вищої освіти кафедри хірургії №1.
Здобувачі змістовно та обґрунтовано презентували свої наукові результати, а у кваліфікованій дискусії продемонстрували свою наукову компетентність та глибокі знання.
По закінченню роботи рад дисертанти висловили подяку Полтавському державному медичному університету і особисто ректору, Вячеславу Ждану за сприяння фаховому розвитку молодих науковців та можливість навчатися у аспірантурі. Щиру вдячність висловили проректору закладу вищої освіти з наукової роботи, професору Ігорю Кайдашеву, колективу наукового відділу університету за постійну, без перебільшення, невтомну підтримку молодих науковців та надану можливість працювати над цікавими темами, за якісну організацію навчального процесу, за мудрі поради, професійну допомогу, підтримку, а також можливість розвиватися на світовому рівні та вдосконалюватися у передових закордонних університетах.
Дисертанти також висловили вдячність членам разових спеціалізованих вчених рад за слушні зауваження, професійні поради, підтримку та участь у засіданнях у такий складний для країни час.
Окрему подяку здобувачі висловили доценту Валентині Соколенко за високий рівень організації заходів, створення комфортної атмосфери та підтримку на всіх етапах підготовки до захисту.
Вдячність також висловили всім присутнім за участь в обговоренні дисертаційних робіт, запитання, зацікавленість і професіоналізм.
Окрему подяку здобувачі висловили своїм науковим керівникам за спільну роботу над дослідженням, формування мотивації, доброзичливість, розуміння та підтримку.
А ще у цей складний для вільної та незалежної України час молоді науковці висловили подяку Збройним Силам України за кожен спокійний день, за їх щоденний героїчний внесок в Перемогу, за можливість працювати та проводити наукові дослідження.

Defenses of PhD dissertations are ongoing at PSMU
At the end of the academic year, defenses of dissertation theses by candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy degree are continuing at Poltava State Medical University (PSMU). This week, at meetings of ad hoc specialized academic councils in the field of knowledge 22 “Health” under the specialty 222 “Medicine,” young researchers in the surgical and traumatology fields presented their scientific achievements.
On May 21, 2026, a successful defense was held of the dissertation entitled “Structural and Functional Features of the Stages of Treatment of Intra-Articular Calcaneal Fractures” by a full-time PhD student of the Department of Surgery No. 3 of Poltava State Medical University, Heorhii Hoduadze. The scientific supervisor is Oleksandr Pelypenko,
PhD in Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, faculty member of the Department of Surgery No. 3 of PSMU.
Leading specialists in traumatology and surgery participated in the work of the council.
The chair of the ad hoc specialized academic council during the defense is Professor Vitalii Liakhovskyi, professor at the Department of Surgery No. 1 of PSMU.
Highly qualified experts were invited as opponents: Professor Andrii Liabakh, Head of the Foot Pathology and Complex Prosthetics Department of the State Institution “Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the NAMS of Ukraine”; Professor Taras Omelchenko, Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Bogomolets National Medical University.
The official reviewers of the work were experienced specialists of the university: Professor Volodymyr Hryn, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Human Anatomy, and Yevhenii Chip, Assistant of the Department of Surgery No. 3.
On May 22, 2026, another dissertation was successfully presented by a part-time PhD student of the Department of Surgery No. 1 of Poltava State Medical University, Kostiantyn Prokopenko, on the topic “Optimization of Comprehensive Surgical Treatment of Mine-Explosion Injuries in Civilians.” The scientific supervisor is Associate Professor Mykola Kravtsiv, Head of the Department of Surgery No. 1 of PSMU.
The chair of the ad hoc specialized academic council at this meeting is also Professor Vitalii Liakhovskyi, professor of the Department of Surgery No. 1 of PSMU.
The opponents of the work were distinguished surgical experts: Professor Valerii Boiko, Head of the Department of Surgery No. 1 at Kharkiv National Medical University, advisor to the directorate of the State Institution “V. T. Zaitsev Institute of General and Urgent Surgery of the NAMS of Ukraine,” full member (academician) of the NAMS of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine; and Professor Serhii Zavhorodnii, Head of the Department of General Surgery and Postgraduate Surgical Education of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Postgraduate Education of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Honored Doctor of Ukraine.
Together with them, the official reviewers of the ad hoc specialized academic council included scholars of Poltava State Medical University: Professor Ruslan Lysenko, professor of the Department of Surgery No. 1, and Associate Professor Ivan Niemchenko, associate professor of the Department of Surgery No. 1.
The candidates presented their scientific results in a meaningful and well-substantiated manner and demonstrated their academic competence and deep knowledge during professional discussions.
At the end of the council meetings, the doctoral candidates expressed their gratitude to Poltava State Medical University and personally to the Rector, Viacheslav Zhdan, for supporting the professional development of young scientists and providing the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies. They also expressed sincere appreciation to the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Ihor Kaidashev, and the staff of the university’s research department for their constant, truly tireless support of young researchers, for providing opportunities to work on relevant topics, for high-quality organization of the educational process, for valuable advice, professional assistance, support, and opportunities to develop at an international level and improve their skills at leading foreign universities.
The PhD candidates also thanked the members of the ad hoc specialized academic councils for their valuable remarks, professional advice, support, and participation in the meetings during such a challenging time for the country.
Special gratitude was expressed to Associate Professor Valentyna Sokolenko for the high level of organization of the events, the creation of a comfortable atmosphere, and support at all stages of preparation for the defenses.
They also thanked all participants for their involvement in the discussion of the dissertations, questions, interest, and professionalism.
Separate gratitude was expressed to their scientific supervisors for their joint research work, motivation-building, kindness, understanding, and support.
In this difficult time for free and independent Ukraine, the young researchers also expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for every peaceful day, for their daily heroic contribution to victory, and for the opportunity to work and conduct scientific research.

In June, meetings of ad hoc specialized academic councils and presentations of new scientific results will continue at the university.
