У бібліотеці ПДМУ за ініціативи кафедри ендокринології з дитячими інфекційними хворобами відбувся комплексний соціокультурний захід для здобувачів освіти медичного факультету №1: 6 курс, 6 група.
Майбутні медики відвідали Музей раритетної книги бібліотеки. Під час екскурсії вони дізналися про історію рідної Alma mater, історію медицини та проаналізували, як формувалися знання, якими користуються сьогодні. Особливий інтерес викликали примірники з дарчими написами та нотатками лікарів минулого, а також «несподіване розслідування» про колишніх власників книг. Це була унікальна можливість відчути спадкоємність поколінь та усвідомити роль університету у власному житті.
В атмосфері духовного піднесення, відкритості й тепла пройшла бесіда з випускниками в центральній читальній залі, де діє інформаційна зона до Шевченкових роковин «Іти нам вічно до Тараса». Також експонуються вишиті портрети Кобзаря з творчого доробку відомої полтавської вишивальниці та громадської діячки Зої Коваленко. Студенти гортали сторінки «Кобзаря» різних років видань, що зберігаються у фонді бібліотеки. Вони розглядали Щоденник Шевченка 1954 року та намагалися прочитати автобіографічні строки, написані рукою Тараса.

Educational and Cultural Events Continue at the University Library for the 105th Anniversary of PSMU
At the PSMU library, on the initiative of the Department of Endocrinology with Pediatric Infectious Diseases, a comprehensive sociocultural event was held for students of Medical Faculty No. 1 (6th year, group 6).
Future doctors visited the Library’s Museum of Rare Books. During the tour, they learned about the history of their alma mater, the development of medicine, and analyzed how the knowledge used today was formed. Particular interest was sparked by copies with handwritten dedications and notes from physicians of the past, as well as an “unexpected investigation” into the former owners of the books. It was a unique opportunity to feel the continuity of generations and to reflect on the role of the university in their own lives.
In an atmosphere of inspiration, openness, and warmth, a discussion with alumni took place in the central reading hall, where an information zone dedicated to the anniversaries of Taras Shevchenko—“We Will Always Walk Towards Taras”—is currently on display. The exhibition also features embroidered portraits of the Kobzar created by the renowned Poltava embroiderer and public figure Zoia Kovalenko. Students browsed through various editions of the “Kobzar” preserved in the library’s collection. They also examined Shevchenko’s 1954 Diary and attempted to read autobiographical lines written in Taras’s own hand.
