18 листопада 2025 року здобувачі освіти ОПП «Медсестринство» (11 група, І курс), ОПП «Фармація» (101 група, І курс), ОПП «Стоматологія» (4 група, І курс) та ОПП «Медицина» (3 група, І курс, 3, 8 і 12 групи, ІІ курс) разом із завідувачкою кафедри іноземних мов, латинської мови та медичної термінології Оленою Бєляєвою, доцентками кафедри Іриною Сологор, Вікторією Костенко, Іванною Знаменською та викладачкою Євгенією Гончаровою відвідали інформаційно-виховний захід «В єдності сила — толерантність як основа миру», організований Полтавською обласною універсальною науковою бібліотекою імені І. П. Котляревського з нагоди Міжнародного Дня толерантності, який який щороку відзначається у світі 16 листопада. Ця дата є нагадуванням про те, що насильству, тероризму, етнічним і релігійним переслідуванням не має бути місця в сучасному демократичному суспільстві. Спікеркою заходу виступила старша інспекторка відділу зв’язків з громадськістю патрульної поліції Полтавської області Ярослава Лемішко. Здобувачі освіти мали можливість ознайомитися з актуальними аспектами формування культури толерантності, почути реальні ситуації з професійної практики, пов’язані з темою толерантності, отримати вичерпні відповіді на свої запитання.

Ця зустріч стала продовженням тісної співпраці відділу обслуговування користувачів Полтавської обласної універсальної наукової бібліотеки ім. І. П. Котляревського з кафедрою іноземних мов з латинською мовою та медичною термінологією.

Tolerance as the Foundation of Peace

On November 18, 2025, students of the educational and professional programs “Nursing” (Group 11, Year 1), “Pharmacy” (Group 101, Year 1), “Dentistry” (Group 4, Year 1), and “Medicine” (Group 3, Year 1; Groups 3, 8, and 12, Year 2), together with the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Latin Language, and Medical Terminology, Olena Bieliaieva, Associate Professors Iryna Solohor, Viktoriia Kostenko, Ivanna Znamenska, and lecturer Yevheniia Honcharova, attended an educational event titled “Strength in Unity: Tolerance as the Foundation of Peace”, organized by the Ivan Kotliarevskyi Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance. November 16 is recognized worldwide as the International Day for Tolerance, which highlights the importance of respecting the uniqueness of every individual and upholding the principles of tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. This date serves as a reminder that violence, terrorism, and ethnic or religious persecution have no place in a modern democratic society. The speaker was Yaroslava Lemishko, Senior Inspector of the Public Relations Department of the Patrol Police of Poltava Region. The students had the opportunity to explore current issues related to the development of a culture of tolerance, to hear real-life cases from professional practice connected to the topic, and to receive comprehensive answers to their questions. 

This event continued the fruitful cooperation between the User Services Department of the Ivan Kotliarevskyi Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library and the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology.
