9 березня – день народження провідника української культури, великого Кобзаря: Тараса Григоровича Шевченка. З цієї нагоди на кафедрі біології ПДМУ були проведені виховні години зі здобувачами освіти першого та третього курсів ОПП «Медицина», «Педіатрія» та «Стоматологія».
Під час заходів студенти познайомилися з життям і творчістю великого сина України, українського генія, поета, письменника, драматурга, художника та етнографа Т.Г. Шевченка. Студенти і викладачі демонстрували красу та чарівність Шевченкового слова. Невмирущі рядки його поезії лунали ніжно і проникливо, щиро й натхненно.
У національній свідомості кожного українця Тарас Шевченко займає місце національного героя, нескореного борця за волю України, людини, яка не просто творила, а й надихала до патріотизму, боротьби за правду, свободу та гідне майбутнє нашої країни. І сьогодні Шевченка ми сприймаємо крізь призму свого часу, а його слова надихають нас вірити у Перемогу.

Educational Sessions at the Department of Biology Dedicated to Taras Shevchenko’s Birthday
March 9 marks the birthday of a leading figure of Ukrainian culture, the Great Kobzar — Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. On this occasion, the Department of Biology of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) organized educational sessions for first- and third-year students of the educational programmes Medicine, Pediatrics, and Dentistry.
During the events, students learned about the life and creative legacy of the great son of Ukraine — a genius poet, writer, playwright, artist, and ethnographer. Both students and teachers highlighted the beauty and expressiveness of Shevchenko’s word. The immortal lines of his poetry were recited gently and movingly, sincerely and with inspiration.
In the national consciousness of every Ukrainian, Taras Shevchenko holds the place of a national hero — an unyielding fighter for Ukraine’s freedom, a person who not only created but also inspired others to patriotism and the struggle for truth, freedom, and a dignified future for the country.
Today we perceive Shevchenko through the prism of our own time, and his words continue to inspire us to believe in Victory.
