Є люди, яких пам'ятають не лише за науковими здобутками чи високими званнями. Їх згадують насамперед за людяністю, мудрістю, умінням підтримати й допомогти. Саме таким був професор Петро Михайлович Козюк — лікар, учений, педагог, який залишив глибокий слід у медицині та в серцях своїх колег, учнів і пацієнтів.
21 липня 2026 року виповнюється 90 років від дня його народження.
Життєвий шлях Петра Михайловича розпочався у Фастові на Київщині. Дитинство, опалене війною, виховало в ньому силу духу, працелюбність і наполегливість. Після закінчення Київського медичного інституту з відзнакою він присвятив себе медицині, поєднавши лікарську практику з науковою діяльністю.
Від 1975 року життя професора нерозривно пов'язане з Полтавою. На кафедрі інфекційних хвороб Полтавського медичного стоматологічного інституту він пройшов шлях від професора до знаного керівника кафедри та виховав не одне покоління лікарів. Його поважали за глибокі знання, принциповість, вимогливість до себе й щиру доброзичливість до людей.
Петро Михайлович був не лише талановитим ученим, автором численних наукових праць, винаходів і патентів. Понад тридцять років професор Козюк проводив активну просвітницьку роботу, навчаючи людей берегти здоров'я та запобігати інфекційним захворюванням. Він був переконаний: найкраще лікування — це профілактика, а знання здатні врятувати не менше життів, ніж ліки.
Минуло вже багато років відтоді, як не стало Петра Михайловича. Та його ім'я й сьогодні живе в історії кафедри, у спогадах колег, у вдячності учнів і пацієнтів. Бо справжній учитель і лікар не йде безслідно — він продовжує жити у своїх справах, своїх учнях і в добрі, яке залишив людям.

On the Occasion of the 90th Anniversary of Professor Petro Koziuk’s Birth
There are people who are remembered not only for their scientific achievements or distinguished titles. Above all, they are remembered for their humanity, wisdom, and their ability to offer support and help. Professor Petro Mykhailovych Koziuk was such a person — a physician, scientist, and educator who left a profound mark on medicine and in the hearts of his colleagues, students, and patients.
On July 21, 2026, we mark the 90th anniversary of his birth.
Petro Mykhailovych’s life journey began in Fastiv, Kyiv Region. His childhood, marked by the hardships of war, shaped his strength of spirit, diligence, and perseverance. After graduating with honours from Kyiv Medical Institute, he devoted himself to medicine, combining clinical practice with scientific research.
Since 1975, the life of Professor Koziuk has been inseparably connected with Poltava. At the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Poltava Medical Stomatological Institute, he progressed from professor to a distinguished head of the department and educated generations of physicians. He was respected for his profound knowledge, integrity, high standards for himself, and sincere kindness toward people.
Petro Mykhailovych was not only a talented scientist, the author of numerous research publications, inventions, and patents. For more than thirty years, Professor Koziuk actively carried out educational and public outreach work, teaching people how to protect their health and prevent infectious diseases. He firmly believed that the best treatment is prevention, and that knowledge can save no fewer lives than medicines.
Many years have passed since Petro Mykhailovych Koziuk passed away. Yet his name continues to live on in the history of the department, in the memories of his colleagues, and in the gratitude of his students and patients. A true teacher and physician never disappears without a trace — he continues to live through his achievements, his students, and the kindness he left behind in the lives of others.
