Українська Медична Студентська Асоціація (УМСА) – це всеукраїнська громадська організація, яка об’єднує студентів-медиків і молодих лікарів, прагнучих розвивати медицину через освіту, науку, міжнародний досвід та соціальні ініціативи. Ми створюємо середовище, де кожен майбутній лікар може реалізувати свій потенціал, розвинути лідерські якості та стати частиною активної професійної спільноти.
УМСА є повноправним членом International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) та її офіційним представником в Україні. Це відкриває українським студентам доступ до міжнародних клінічних і наукових обмінів, глобальних освітніх програм, міжнародних конференцій та спільних проєктів із понад 100 країнами світу. IFMSA вже понад 70 років формує нове покоління лікарів, які мислять глобально та діють локально.
Головна мета УМСА – захист інтересів студентів і випускників медичних закладів вищої освіти та створення умов для їхнього професійного і особистісного розвитку. Організація підтримує розвиток лідерства, волонтерство, академічну мобільність, наукову діяльність, покращення медичної освіти та активну громадянську позицію.
Сьогодні УМСА має представництва у Києві, Львові, Дніпрі, Вінниці, Тернополі, Харкові, Луцьку, Івано-Франківську, Ужгороді, Полтаві та Луганську. Це велика мережа студентської співпраці, яка об’єднує активну молодь по всій країні.
Міжнародна федерація асоціацій студентів‑медиків (IFMSA) працює через шість міжнародних постійних комітетів (Standing Committees), кожен з яких зосереджений на певній сфері діяльності:
- Standing Committee on Research Exchanges (SCORE) – комітет наукових обмінів;
- Standing Committee on Professional Exchanges (SCOPE) – комітет професійних (клінічних) обмінів;
- Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) – комітет громадського здоров’я;
- Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV/AIDS (SCORA) – комітет сексуального та репродуктивного здоров’я та прав, включно з ВІЛ/СНІД;
- Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) – комітет прав людини та миру;
- Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME) – комітет медичної освіти.
УМСА – це міжнародні можливості, реальний клінічний досвід, перші наукові публікації, розвиток soft skills, лідерство, нові знайомства по всьому світу та реальний вплив на зміни в медицині України.

Join the Local Representation of the Ukrainian Medical Students’ Association (UMSA) in Poltava
The Ukrainian Medical Students’ Association (UMSA) is a nationwide public organization that brings together medical students and young doctors who strive to advance medicine through education, research, international experience, and social initiatives. We create an environment where every future physician can realize their potential, develop leadership skills, and become part of an active professional community.
UMSA is a full member of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) and its official representative in Ukraine. This provides Ukrainian students with access to international clinical and research exchanges, global educational programs, international conferences, and joint projects with partners in more than 100 countries worldwide. For over 70 years, IFMSA has been shaping a new generation of physicians who think globally and act locally.
The main goal of UMSA is to protect the interests of students and graduates of medical higher education institutions and to create conditions for their professional and personal development. The organization supports leadership development, volunteering, academic mobility, research activities, improvement of medical education, and active civic engagement.
Today, UMSA has local representations in Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Lutsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Poltava, and Luhansk. It is a wide network of student cooperation uniting active youth across the country.
IFMSA operates through six international Standing Committees, each focused on a specific field of activity:
Standing Committee on Research Exchanges (SCORE) – research exchanges;
Standing Committee on Professional Exchanges (SCOPE) – professional (clinical) exchanges;
Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) – public health;
Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV/AIDS (SCORA) – sexual and reproductive health and rights, including HIV/AIDS;
Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP) – human rights and peace;
Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME) – medical education.
UMSA offers international opportunities, real clinical experience, first research publications, development of soft skills, leadership growth, new connections around the world, and a real impact on changes in medicine in Ukraine.
