23 квітня 2026 року в овальній залі ПДМУ відбулося 22-ге засідання Наглядової ради університету. Засідання відкрив її голова Юрій Парамонов, який запропонував затвердити план роботи Наглядової ради ПДМУ на 2026 рік.
Ректор ПДМУ, професор Вячеслав Ждан представив звіт про діяльність Вченої ради університету за 5 років, окресливши ключові результати його розвитку.
У доповіді окреслено ключові результати діяльності Вченої ради, зокрема системну організацію роботи та розгляд широкого кола питань освітнього, наукового й організаційного розвитку. Університет забезпечує підготовку фахівців на всіх рівнях освіти, підтверджуючи якість освітнього процесу національними та міжнародними акредитаціями. Також було проінформовано про кількість здобувачів вищої освіти станом на 1 січня 2025 року та динаміку показників прийому до інтернатури у 2023–2025 роках.
Ректор Вячеслав Ждан зупинився на результатах рейтингових показників діяльності університету: ПДМУ посідає 9 місце серед закладів вищої освіти центрального регіону України та 8 місце серед медичних університетів країни.
Окрему увагу у звіті приділено розвитку наукової діяльності: виконанню науково-дослідних робіт, підготовці наукових кадрів, активізації публікаційної діяльності та представленості університету в міжнародних наукометричних базах, зокрема Scopus і Web of Science. Також Вячеславом Жданом відзначено розвиток університетських наукових видань, частина з яких входить до категорій А та Б фахових видань України.
Університет активно інтегрується в міжнародний освітній і науковий простір, будучи учасником провідних міжнародних організацій та ініціатив, а також розширюючи партнерство із закордонними закладами вищої освіти.
На завершення ректор Вячеслав Ждан представив інформацію щодо фінансово-економічної діяльності університету за 2025 рік, зокрема щодо використання коштів загального та спеціального фондів.
У межах засідання Наглядової ради було заслухано інформацію та пропозиції щодо вшанування пам’яті видатного полтавця, духовного покровителя міста – Паїсія Величковського. З доповіддю виступив член Наглядової ради Юрій Худяк, який нагадав присутнім про постать Паїсія Величковського як визначного духовного діяча та просвітителя, чия діяльність вийшла далеко за межі України. Було підкреслено, що він став символом інтелектуальної та духовної сили Полтави, а також її органічного зв’язку з європейським культурним і духовним простором.
У ході обговорення було представлено пропозицію щодо вшанування його пам’яті шляхом встановлення першого в Україні пам’ятника Паїсію Величковському перед морфологічним корпусом ПДМУ.
Пропозицію доповідача учасники засідання підтримали одноголосно.
На завершення Віктор Шкурпела – голова громадської організації ветеранів та інвалідів Полтавської області «Союз-Чорнобиль Україна», напередодні 40-ї річниці Чорнобильської катастрофи вручив відзнаки ліквідаторам аварії, присутнім на засіданні.
Подяки отримали ректор ПДМУ Вячеслав Ждан та директор Департаменту охорони здоров’я Полтавської ОВА Віктор Лисак.
Окремо, за сприяння у реабілітації постраждалих внаслідок Чорнобильської катастрофи, подяками відзначено головного лікаря КП «ПОКЛ» Полтавської обласної ради Григорія Осака та директора Департаменту охорони здоров’я Полтавської міської ради Сергія Котова.
Під час засідання було обговорено низку нагальних питань та пропозицій, які виникли в процесі дискусії. Зокрема, Григорій Оксак та Олександр Котов внесли пропозиції щодо ініціативи звернення до депутатів обласного та міського рівнів влади про впровадження цільової програми для здобувачів вищої та передвищої освіти із гарантованим подальшим працевлаштуванням у лікувально-профілактичних закладах міста та області.

A Landmark Event for the University – the 22nd Meeting of the PSMU Supervisory Board Took Place
On April 23, 2026, the 22nd meeting of the Supervisory Board of PSMU was held in the university’s Oval Hall. The meeting was opened by its Chairman, Yurii Paramonov, who proposed approving the PSMU Supervisory Board’s work plan for 2026.
The Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, presented a report on the activities of the University’s Academic Council over the past five years, outlining the key results of its development.
The report highlighted the main outcomes of the Academic Council’s work, including the systematic organization of its activities and the consideration of a wide range of issues related to educational, scientific, and organizational development. The University provides training for specialists at all levels of education, confirming the quality of the educational process through national and international accreditations. Information was also provided on the number of higher education students as of January 1, 2025, as well as trends in internship admissions in 2023–2025.
Rector Viacheslav Zhdan also focused on the university’s ranking performance: PSMU ranks 9th among higher education institutions in the central region of Ukraine and 8th among medical universities in the country.
Special attention in the report was given to the development of research activities, including the implementation of research projects, training of academic staff, increased publication activity, and the university’s presence in international scientometric databases, particularly Scopus and Web of Science. Viacheslav Zhdan also noted the development of the university’s academic journals, some of which are included in categories A and B of professional publications in Ukraine.
The University is actively integrating into the international educational and research space by participating in leading international organizations and initiatives, as well as expanding partnerships with foreign higher education institutions.
At the conclusion of his report, Rector Viacheslav Zhdan presented information on the university’s financial and economic activities for 2025, particularly regarding the use of funds from the general and special budgets.
During the Supervisory Board meeting, information and proposals were also presented regarding the commemoration of the outstanding Poltava native and spiritual patron of the city, Paisii Velychkovskyi. A report was delivered by Supervisory Board member Yurii Khudiak, who reminded those present of Paisii Velychkovskyi as a prominent spiritual figure and educator whose influence extended far beyond Ukraine. It was emphasized that he has become a symbol of the intellectual and spiritual strength of Poltava, as well as its organic connection with the European cultural and spiritual space.
During the discussion, a proposal was presented to honor his memory by installing the first monument to Paisii Velychkovskyi in Ukraine in front of the morphological building of PSMU.
The proposal was unanimously supported by the meeting participants.
At the end of the meeting, Viktor Shkurpela, Head of the Poltava Regional Public Organization of Veterans and Disabled Persons “Union–Chernobyl Ukraine,” on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl disaster, presented awards to the liquidators who were present at the meeting.
Appreciation awards were given to PSMU Rector Viacheslav Zhdan and the Director of the Department of Health of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Viktor Lysak.
Additionally, for their assistance in the rehabilitation of those affected by the Chornobyl disaster, acknowledgments were presented to Hryhorii Osak, Chief Physician of the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital of the Poltava Regional Council, and Serhii Kotov, Director of the Department of Health of the Poltava City Council.
During the meeting, a number of pressing issues and proposals that arose during the discussion were addressed. In particular, Hryhorii Oksak and Oleksandr Kotov put forward proposals to initiate an appeal to regional and city council deputies regarding the implementation of a targeted program for higher and pre-higher education students, with guaranteed subsequent employment in healthcare institutions of the city and region.
