Foreword
Emergencies
in pediatrics are an urgent problem of clinical medicine. They occur in the
daily practice of a doctor of any specialty, require rapid diagnosis, the
ability to make the right decision and prescribe appropriate emergency therapy,
taking into account the characteristics of the child's body and the basics of
pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs.
The
main task of the given e-handbook/manual is to provide recommendations to
doctors and applicants for higher medical education in matters of diagnosis and
emergency care for children. The emergencies described in the manual meet the
requirements of educational and qualification characteristics and educational
and professional programs of the specialist to provide emergency care to
patients in pediatric practice.
The
materials of the manual are prepared based on modern clinical recommendations
approved in the European Union, USA, Canada, as well as on the orders of the
Ministry of Health of Ukraine in accordance with the protocol approach to
emergency treatment in pediatric practice.
